Cassiel urged her team on as they barreled through the mycelium layer of Heaven's roots.
Rainier kept his focus on controlling his speed to stay within her wake. There would be time later to discuss why attacking the other Houses' teams had slowed them down, but for now, speed was all that-

Something hit Cassiel from above.
Rain had less than half a second to spot the blue-winged body before it collided with her, and bare moments later he was putting all his effort into diving after the fallen angel, even before Cassiel shouted in surprise.
Handling the man was awkward, but as soon as he rose again, he looked about for a place to land, finding a greyish bridge looming several stories above them, barely within the course.
"We need to take him up!" Cassie said, using one of her magiform hands and placing it on the body.
