“I didn’t want this Izan, this is all your fault” she said looking away from the mirror to look away from him. “I know but I need you and you agreed to this, so it’s not my fault after all” he said forcing her face to look back at her. “I did not, you coerced me into this so don’t you turn this on me, now please let’s get on with what is necessary” “I am not sleeping with you, sex is intimate and sacred” she said standing to walk away from him. Pretty Princess

Back at home there were always palace guards with her everywhere she went. Whether it was with Jason for a night or the kingdoms biggest events.

That's how it always was with all royals. If anything happened to a royal the guard was to blame even if it the royals Fault. He was to get punished and funnily they were proud for the punishment they received in honour of the Royal.

Neera always thought that was stupid.

The issue was, here in the underworld, no guard or soldier was following the king. If that wasn't all, some people that they had met disrespected Izan.

Which was very inappropriate. Back home if someone, a commoner, disregarded or disrespected the king, they were beheaded.

Yes, their methods of punishment were very drastic.

"Why are you not accompanied by your guards?" she asked as they walked back into the castle. Which was way more majestic than the one back at home.

"I don't need them, I can protect myself "

.

"Guards are not necessarily for protection, they should be honoured to serve you at all times and even though you can protect yourself they should be there, at all times" she said absent mindedly not caring if he was litsening or not.

Her mind was focused on Haelyn now. She needed to find out if Haelyn was ok, she'd not seen her for way too long.

A week!

Izan behind her seemed taken aback by her words. He didn't know nothing about Royalty and looking at her all his eyes saw was a royal princess from the human lands.

Not very decent but with royal upbringing. He could use her to his advantage since he was a newborn in this royal field.

"Would you like to take dinner with me Princess?"

She stopped in her tracks and turned to look at him with a suspicious look.

That was too nice. Last time he almost made her beg just so he could feed her.

"Who told you that am hungry?" she crossed her hands on her chest squinting her eyes suspiciously. Her stomach was empty by the way.

"You've not eaten in a week, you must be starving" he said again. Which was the plain truth, she was hungry.

"Ok" she agreed and quietly followed him to the dining table which was not what she was expecting.

She sat on the dining chair per tradition and unfolded the cloth placing it on her lap. And waited.

Izan had dissapeared behind closed doors after rolling the sleeves of his shirt. Was he the one serving her?

How nice. She wished the meal was as good as the other one.

The one she had almost begged for. She suddenly felt embarrassed at her actions last time. She groaned in self dissatisfaction but then the doors opened from behind her.

"What are you doing?" he asked right after she turned to look at him.

"Waiting...for dinner" she looked at him questioningly and curiously.

He chuckled lightly, and that's when she finally saw the apron around his neck and waist.

"Why are you dressed like that?"

He hesitated, "Because am cooking"

Neera had to daze for some few minutes reading his face and outfits. She could say she was stunned and she was.

Since when did Kings cook?

And Damn! Did he look hot that way. If only he was shirtless,,,that would have been thirty times much better.

She almost pouted at the presence of a shirt but proceeded to stand abruptly pushing her chair into an almost falling stance.

He looked at it and it didn't.

"You are a King, right?" she asked then continued to walk behind and untie his apron from above.

He nodded smiling wryly.

He was not amused, not in the least, he was happy that she was taking things into his own hands. He didn't even need to tell her. How nice.

"Take this off, for some king you're somehow... gullible"

He didn't let that affect his mood and just took off the apron.

"You're not hungry anymore or what happened?"

"The man whom you were talking with in my room, is he the butler?"

"Yes he is, What do you need?"

She squinted her eyes a tad bit in doubt, "Are you really a King or are you just messing with me?"

"The butler told you I was, right?"

"Hmm, summon that butler for me because your castle is in dire need of staff and management"

As if the her words were heard fifty miles away, the doors swayed open and the butler strolled in.

"How may I help you My Lady?" he bowed curtly then proceeded to wait patiently.

"I have business with you, follow moi" she walked out by herself and didn't wait to see if he followed or not.

The Butler looked at Izan who gave him a thumbs up then the butler quickly hurried to follow after the Princess.

✿✿✿

Izan stared at the double doors that had just closed. The smile from earlier immediately fell and his look changed into one of apprehension.

He walked back to his room. Old room to be precise.

His sister's was right next to his. He didn't want to go in there, at least not yet.

Opening a case he pulled out a newspaper. Just like the one that had been in the room he has been locked in.

Then went on to splay all pages of the paper on the table and there was everything he needed. Right there.

Staring at him and urging him to go and get his sister. But he couldn't. Not yet.

He had to secure his position first and that was been taken care of by the pretty princess or Arcadia.

How nice. He could sit back and relax as used all her Royal authority in that castle to bring order in the place.
