Invisible Danger

I just back from Master Long's temple and on my way to our apartment. Instantly my eye brows are furrowed when I see our apartment's door is opened. Both, Jennifer and I, don't have a habit to leave a door open.

I widen my steps. Only with two steps I arrive in front of the door. I quickly open the door only to see Jennifer lies lifelessly on the floor. Her whole body is purple with foam comes out of her mouth.

"NOOOOOO!!!" I shout in hysterical.

With that shout, I sit my body up from my sleep. In reflex, I look at the left side of my bed. Jennifer is still sleeping soundly there. Only after that I can breathe out easy. Another bad dream.

I have had nightmares over and over since our wedding ceremony. All of my nightmares are about the same, whether I saw Jennifer died or I saw Lily touching Jennifer. I know they were manifestation over my solicitude.

I lay my body back on the bed and take the sleeping Jennifer into my embrace. I kiss hr forehead deep and long as I try to ease my mind. The only way to end my solicitude is to get rid Lily. But that is not an easy job.

First and main problem is, I need to find where she is. Despite of having some of my memories back, I still can't remember where the organization's headquarter is. I've asked for Thief's help, but I realize it might be beyond Thief's capability.

Secondly, I don't know how many knights that have had the cell activation procedure. Thus, I can't measure their strength and capabilities. Based on the incident at the church, I only knew that Bruno now has a teleport capabilities, and perhaps, based on his threat, he might be able to blow up things with his touch.. or maybe mind. While Lily, based on her gloved left hand, I suspect she can poison people with her touch. I know Gila's capability, since he had the procedure with me. But the other three are mystery.

I sigh heavily. I have had been used to act with a clear plan, often with several backup plans. I have always learnt about my enemies first and come up with a good risk-calculated plan. But.. for the sake of my wife and our baby, I will take any risk.

Based on my memory, I remember Bruno is a trustworthy person. Despite his feeling toward Lily and my relationship with Lily at that time, Bruno and I were good partners and good friends. since Gila was always busy with Black and Fire was considered a little brother because he is tow years younger, thus Bruno was the only buddy I could hang out with. Thus, I trust Bruno will not help Lily. He even will try to prevent her from coming. But then.. I also know Lily well.

Lily was and even still is a strong-will woman. She is also persistent. She has loved me from our childhood. She didn't give up to know that I had no feeling for her. Unfortunately, because of the aphrodisiac, I accidentally had sex with her and went into her toil. Knew that I still didn't love her after being with her over the years, she forced me to get engage with her by using the relationship of our parents. So, at that time, I had no excuse but to accept our engagement.

Yes, Lily is very persistent. Worse, she can even use any method to gain her will. That's what scared me the most. Fortunately, Jennifer is still on her honeymoon leave for two weeks even though we only enjoy our honeymoon at home. But at least, I still able to watch her 24/7.

However, her leave will end soon. And that increases my worry. I can watch her at home, but I can't do it in her office. It won't be possible for me to hang out at her office all day, right. Even if I could, for how long ?

"Why haven't you slept, Babe ?" Jennifer's sudden question brings me back from my reverie.

I kiss her head gently before answering, "I have. I just woke up."

"Another night mare ?" she asks, putting her hand on my chest.

:No," I lie to not make her worry then tighten my embrace to her warm body. "I just miss to feel your warmth."

Jennifer giggles. "Charmer," she murmurs. I grin before kissing her head again.

"Why did you awake ?" I ask back. "Nightmare ?"

She shakes her head. "I just felt your heart beats.. it's restless.."

"You can feel my heart beat ?" I ask in surprised.

Jennifer nods.

"Since when ?" I ask again.

Jennifer shrugs. "This is the first time," she says.

"Can you feel other's heart beat ?" I ask again.

"Well, I rarely being this close with others," she answers. She is being confused due to my odd questions. "Do you think I have special ability ?" she asks again.

"I don't know.." I say in doubt. "Remember when I broke through Slim Joe's penthouse ? Or.. or when I fought with Lily ?" I continue with questions.

Jennifer just nods.

"Both I did in.. well.. abnormal time ?"

"Abnormal ?"

I nod. "Maybe like.. four or five times speed of sound.."

"What ?? How ?? Is it the brain activation's effect ??" she asks multiple questions at once.

I nod again. "But.. in both you could break through. I could hear your voice forbade me at the penthouse. Then.. you saw the fight. It should not be possible for normal people."

"So.. I have super power , too ?" Jennifer asks. Despite of being scared, her eyes are glimmered full of excitement. I can't help not to chuckle. I marry the right woman.

"I don't know, Babe. But I hope not," I say and bite her nose.

"Why not ? We can be super hero family. You know.. like The Incredible.." she says.

I laugh. "No, Baby.. I want us to have a plain normal life," I say..

"Plain is boring.." she says, pouting in act.

"But safe," I pursue.

"Still.. boring.." she smack her lips

"Hmm..," I kiss her lips passionately. "I'll make sure.." I roll her over so I am on top of her now. "Your sex live.." Then I bite her jaw. "Will never be bore.." and lick her earlobe.

Soon, I am already under her belly. She is screaming my name repeatedly while my head berries deep in between her thighs, sucking her juice dry.

The next day, we have a guest, Master Long.

"I just come to give you your wedding gift," Master Long says, after we sit at our living area.

"Oh. you shouldn't have to," Jennifer says. "Your willing to walk me to the altar is more than enough," she adds.

Master Long gives a little box to Jennifer. "I made it my self. Please wear it even if it is not beautiful."

Jennifer opens the box and exclaims. "Wow.. it's beautiful!"

She takes the gift out from the box to show it to me. "Look, Babe ! Isn't it beautiful ?"

A jade bracelet. "It is," I say to her. "Try it on," I encourage her.

Jennifer wears it. "It's beautiful, Master. Thank you very much," she says happily just like a little girl.

"Thank you, Master," I say to the old man sincerely.

Little did Jennifer knows, I told Master Long about my worry few days ago. The old man then told me that he would make a defensive charm for Jennifer. From his gaze toward me, Master Long confirms that this bracelet is the charm.

I can not be more thankful to this man. More than half of my worry is lifted up now. At least something is protecting her from dangerous when I am not around.
