"Do what?"
Hao Xuan stepped back with an innocent expression, watching as she got back on her feet.
"About tha-" she spoke again but feeling the tinge of pain running through her mouth she cringed. She spat out some blood and took out a green bottle from somewhere inside her dress and took a small sip, instantly healing the wound.
She met Hao Xuan's gaze, livid as she could be.
"Why did you tell them about the surface world! That was my job! I have been down here for MONTHS trying to bring them to our side and you! How could you just blurt it out like that?!"
She was so small that no matter how mad she got, in Hao Xuan's eyes she just looked like a teenager throwing a tantrum.
And it would be a lie if Hao Xuan said he didn't find her little antics quite adorable. He wanted to reach out and pinch her cheeks but even he knew that was not a good idea. So he held back, trying not to show his feelings.
