Never in a million years did Marcus think that he will be chosen as the marriage candidate for the king of werewolves. Especially when he is a prince and not a princess! But the king made his choice and the humans are in no power to refuse him. For humanity's sake, you go along with it. But problem is that he isn't the only one married to him. He has to fight for the king's affection with other consorts. He finds that he has to brush on his skills and seduce and gain the affection of the werewolf king who is a hybrid. Marcus's p.o.v
I floated inches away from the ground. For a moment I had thought that I was a goner. But my magic saved me in time, I was able to keep himself afloat before I hit the ground.
It was my luck that I had magic. Had it not been the case then my blood would also wash the floors of the queen's palace.
I got to my foot and straightened my back. Not just one queen but seventeen more had died today. It was supposed to be a happy occasion. A night full of celebrations and happiness but now only blood and pain was in the palace.
I could not even begin to grasp how fast things had changed. One minute the queen was fine giving orders and the next she laid lifeless in my room.
Seventeen more lives were taken as a result of it, it was just not fair. My eyes scanned the room, my blood run cold seeing so much blood shed.
