Arrival in Zayion

Marcus's palanquin arrived at the palace of Zayion in two hours. He had ate, slept and read a book in that time. It was going to be his first time in the place and the excitement of seeing Zayion with his eyes made him sleepless.

He couldn't hold himself back from feeling nervous, tense and excited at the same time. The truth is that he had never travelled out of the kingdom before.

This was his first time to step out of Narsia and for a reason as well. The queen had been very protective of him growing up and feared the worst when the idea came up.

When the page announced his arrival, he was overwhelmed to hear it. He opened the curtain to see the place that he would have to call home for the rest of his life.

It was night but he could see the kingdom well from where he sat. So many people had gathered in front of the palace to welcome him. They each carried a lantern with them to provide light.

It looked absolutely beautiful. Marcus smiled at the warm welcome that he was receiving. He loved feeling important, the only problem was the king's absence. He had no idea what to do or say and the king was not around to help him.

The kingdom was different from his and so were their customs. It worried him that he would not be able to fit in the new place. There was so much that he had to learn and no time to learn it.

Thinking this, he closed the curtain and returned to reading his book. It was better to just leave everything in the hands of fate, no use feeling bad over something that he can't control.

The procession reached the welcoming committee, that is when the party started. Loud music was played and women, men and children danced as they welcomed him to Zayion.

Marcus was tempted to lift the curtains again and have a look but he resisted the urge. He just listened to the music and tried to relax. The more they got closer to the palace, the faster that his heart was beating.

'Reina,' he uttered. The name of the special queen of Zayion, his heart skittered in worry. He could not think of any reason as to how he could ever compare to her.

They had not met yet and already he was the defeat. It was so hard to calm his racing heart, he was a man. In that sense how could he have ever thought that it was possible for him to complete against girls in the art of seduction and win.

He was sure that the king had only agreed to marry him in order to embarrass and humiliate him. How else would one explain why a king who has always fancied women would leave his beautiful sister and pick him.

It didn't make sense. His mind could only deduce that the king did so any to toy with Narsia. To see how far they would go to end the war, how desperate they were to save their own skin.

He thought back to the incident in the garden when the king stole his first kiss. The rude wat that the king had treated him, his nervousness disappeared replaced by sadness.

Marcus was filled with disbelief when realisation dawned on him as to why the king married him. He was thinking of brushing up on his seductive skills to impress the king when the man wanted nothing to do with him.

'It is all a game to him,' he thought.

Sadness tore at his chest as the truth felt like a knife to his heart. It was such a bitter pill to swallow that he didn't think he could bear it.

He was to spend the rest of his life with a man who doesn't care about him. His life and all was a joke to his husband.

He slumped down and laid his head down. His mind replayed scenes from that very morning. The day had started off with him freeing the wounded wolf that he had rescued. Then the proposal came.

Before he knew it the werewolf king had made an entrance into the palace and had followed him to the garden. He thought about the kiss, he hated to admit it but he did like being kissed by the king.

The male looked like he knew what he was doing, the way the king had taken control and gave him such a passionate kiss. It gave him goosebumps all over and made him shudder.

A tear trickled from his eyes thinking about how it was all a game. The paper dance replayed in his mind, it was sweet how he and the werewolf king talked with out arguing. He even took a nap on the king's shoulder and got a change to listen to his heartbeat.

The sound was very calming but it all came to an end when the king left mysteriously. He wasn't even informed of where he went.

He was sure that had it been the Queen Reina in his place, the king would have taken the time to explain to her where he was off to. He would have even asked her if she wanted to come along with him.

A comfort that he may never get to enjoy since he meant nothing to the king. He found it odd that he was do affected by a man he had met earlier that very day. The sad feeling in his heart was foreign to him.

He didn't know why he was feeling bad that the king was not interested in him. For someone who hated the idea of two men being together romantically, he should have been happy about it but it made him sad.

He curled up into a ball unable to get the empty feeling from his heart to go away. He tried to think happy thoughts in order to stop his mind from going down the road it was trading on. But it wasn't possible to forget the king.

He closed his eyes to get some sleep, as it was he was exhausted. The moment that he closed his eyes the only thing he could see was the werewolf king before him with a smug smile.

It irritated him, the loud music outside and the dancing only went to ruin his mood. The people of Zayion we're busy celebrating when he was having a break down.

As it was, he wasn't sure what plans the king had for him upon arrival. He can't sure that king would keep to his promise and make him a special male queen.

Whether he would be treated with respect in his new home was unknown to him. Without the king to assure him, he was left all alone with his fears slowly building up inside of him.

Alot of things ran through his mind. There was a possibility that the king was going to turn him into a slave upon arrival and find ways to humiliate him further with each passing day.

All of his thought caused his body to shiver in fear. 'I should have stayed home,' he thought to himself.

He wished to remove that day from the calendar and make sure that the sun never rose that morning. He had only been married for a few hours but already he was regretting it.

He was reconsidering whether or not it was a good idea to have sacrificed himself for his people. It was his life that he had thrown away and he wasn't sure if the cause was right.

"We have arrived at the palace," he heard a loud voice scream. Unison shouting came from the crowd that was escorting him. The people of Zayion we're clearly happy to celebrate his defeat.

Marcus wished for the earth to open up and swallow him. That would be better than him setting foot in the hell that was to be his house for the rest of his life.

Just then an idea popped in his mind. It was possible for the werewolf king to decide to kill him. To avoid dealing with him since the male clearly hated him, that way he would be rid of him.

That thought made him shiver, he was not knew to royal life and ever so often royals died. Most death were marked as accidents or natural when they were assassinated.

If the king had such plans to kill him then he was afraid that the he wasn't in a position to fight back. And when he did die he was sure that no one would investigate the matter.

When his father was able to give him away so easily to a stranger he hardly knew. Then the man would surely over look the cause of his death just for the sake of peace.

To keep the kingdom of Narsia from the destruction, he had been married off to his doom.

"What are you thinking about?" the werewolf king's voice sounded in his ear.

Marcus looked up at him, his teary eyes were red from all the crying. He had been so caught up in his thoughts that he had not realised how the king had gotten in the palanquin without making a sound.

He looked away from the male, he was feeling down from the possibilities of the life he might live in Zayion.

"I see, so you are going to play hard to get on our wedding night. Do you think that I will spare you if you do so?" Morpheus asked.

He used his finger to turn Marcus to look at him. He gently brush his finger on the prince's lips, he bit his lip in an alluring manner as he desired to give the male a kiss.

He so badly wanted to kiss him again since earlier. He could not explain his infatuation with the male, it was just crazy.

"Today is your first day in my palace and you are making everyone wait," he spoke while licking his dry lips.

The way he licked his lips made Marcus short of breath, he recalled the king's tongue on his and felt a chill ran through her.

The beautiful sensation of the moment they shared flashed through his mind driving away all of his negative thoughts.

"You know, tonight it will just be the two of us," the king whispered in his ear. He licked the beautiful shape of his earlobe and trailed kisses from his ear.

The King could see doubt in the boy's mind. Hopefully in time he hoped the prince would learn that not all unknown can be bad. He had personally prepared a surprise for the male but he wasn't letting the man out of the palanquin unless his mood lifted.

"And I intend to use it well," he added to him.
