The thought of it being stripped away from her scent and vampire power, of losing a piece of who she was, even if it was just for a short while, was downright terrifying. Blanca might as well have been going into battle naked, but she knew it was needed. The sacred forest was a place of magic and wonder. She casts a spell to shield her thoughts and then questions herself. But what bothered her the most was that she'd been there before; when she went hiking, she remembered bathing in the lagoon and sleeping on the flat rock. Surely it couldn't be the Portal, right? Was it? She didn't remember seeing Mora there, or anyway, opening the lagoon. But what the hell happened during her sleep?
"So we can't use our magic?" Blanca asked.
