The Confrontation - Part 3.
By now, Elizabeth had walked a bit in search of Oletha. She'd done this by making use of the several bends she could remember them using. Still there seemed to be no signs of Oletha anywhere near.
'Where could she have gone?' She allowed her worries to begin to do her in whilst she thought so.
The situation caused her to begin to grow hesitant because of her guide's sudden disappearance.
"Or could it be my mistake in taking the wrong route?" She blurted out her suspicions somewhat rhetorically. Only that an unexpected response flew in her ears the very minute she'd muttered that question of hers.
"You certainly did not take the wrong route, my darling… "
The voice which sounded soft and pleasing to her ears had come from a near bend in the maze field adjacent to where she was standing.
Her curiosity was piqued. As such, she impulsively stopped in her tracks.
