CHAPTER 2

It was another boring Monday,

"God this is so boring I hate history" Lilian moaned

"I hated history" Bliss said

"How do you suddenly like it now?" Lilian asked Bliss

"Well only if you paid attention to what the teacher is saying right now you would know why"Bliss replied

"Hey, Ariana don't you think this is super boring like what even is this?!"Lilian said

"I am actually not gonna lie I was about to skip class but this is actually very interesting" Ariana replied

"What in the world, Sohema don't you think this is boring?"Lilian asked Sohema now

"Just listen to the teacher for some time Ariana and Bliss aren't wrong it is actually very interesting" Sohema replied trying to sound as casual as possible because she had just realized that the teacher was right behind them

"Do you young ladies have any problem this is my class, not a fish market you girls can leave if this will be your behavior, Sohema I did not expect this from you," The teacher said

Sohema stood up, "Sorry teacher I won't let that happen again," she said and so did Lilian

"That's what I expected from you both," The teacher said and continued teaching the class,

Now Lilian took Sohema's advice and started listening to the teacher too,

They were studying about a Dark Empress the history book did not mention the name but from what was written on it, it seemed as if the Dark Empress was very mighty and powerful,

Lilian felt chills every time she heard the name so did Bliss, Ariana, and Sohema,

*AT RECESS*

"Hey, guys don't you think it is so cool?" Ariana asked

"What so cool?" Sohema replied

"The Dark Empress" Ariana replied

"Well she is just a fairy tale, me and Sohema once tried to find about her in the Library and what not we couldn't find anything useful," Bliss said

"Yes but there is one Library we didn't look into," Sohema said

"What would that be?" Lilian asked Sohema

"Well there is a library really close to the school which will be closed by the time the school ends and well it's closed on the weekends so there is no chance that we can do anything about it," Sohema said

"I have an idea" Ariana said then she looked at Lilian

"LETS BUNKKK!" Lilian and Ariana said together

"I mean it is for a good cause, what do you think Sohema?" Bliss said

"I do not want to bunk school because never in my entire life I have and if my parents come to know then I am dead," Sohema said

"We will treat you pizza" Ariana said

"Okay let's go," Sohema said greedily

It was pretty easy to get a day off from the school as Sohema and Bliss were as known as the most trustable and intelligent students of the Campus so the Principal actually believed that they had to go prepare for a speaking contest,

The girls called a taxi and hopped in, "Okay first things first Bliss we should sign up for a speaking contest online or something because we can get in big trouble if we don't" Sohema said

"I already signed us for when you were telling the teacher everything," Bliss said

The taxi drove for a couple of minutes then it stopped, "You have reached your destination" the taxi driver told the girl

"Oh shoot I don't have any money on me I spent all of it on my lunch," Lilian said panicking

"Don't worry I got your back girl" Ariana said and gave the money to the taxi driver

"Thank you girls have a nice day" they heard the driver say as they walked towards the magnificent library it was humongous it had a lot of marble carvings on it like everywhere it was so beautiful the roof was made of some kind of unbreakable glass which looked really cool especially when the Sun was shining over it,

They were all amazed special Bliss and Sohema because they had wanted to see this library for so long, "Guys cmon we don't have a lot of time" Ariana told Bliss and Sohema

"We know but it is just so amazing," Bliss said Sohema nodded

"Guys I'm pretty sure that you will just be fine let's go in and finish what we came for," Lilian said

"Ugh fine," Sohema said rolling her eyes

The girls walked into the library and their eyes widened as they saw all of the books in the library, "Woah this is crazy amazing" Bliss spoke a little too loud that the librarian has to point her out,

"Yo not to interrupt or anything but don't you guys think that it will take so much time to find the book and we ain't even sure if it is here," Lilian said as quietly as she could

"As much as I would like to agree with you if we don't try we will never know," Sohema said

"I guess your right let's get to work guys," Lilian said

Everyone nodded, Ariana and Lilian got to work immediately but it was a little hard for Sohema and Bliss not to get distracted they were total bookworms books were almost their entire life,

but they got to track because as much as they loved books they were dying of curiosity to know what is actually the story behind The Dark Empress Lennon I mean but little did they know there was so much more to this little fairy tale at least they thought it was only a fairy tale,

It took them a long time to find the correct aisle, "Dude what is this what is a genre, and why are there so many of those?!" Lilian asked Bliss and Sohema

"Bruh I never thought you never knew," Sohema said

"Well basically genre is what defines a book into a category like if someone writes her or his own version of a book someone has already written then it is known as fan fiction," Bliss said

"And if someone wrote something about the history of something or someone then it will be Historical fiction maybe I don't really know I'm not into history and stuff" Sohema continued

"Oh now I get it," Lilian said

"Well let's get to work, now," Ariana said

It was almost an hour and the girls still couldn't find anything useful, "Dude what the hell i don't think-"

"I FOUND THE BOOK GUYS I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!" Sohema screamed as soon as Lilian was about to complete her sentence, Sohema was so loud that everyone turned around to see what was going on, The librarian was really mad now, she started yelling at the girls but when she saw the book in Sohema's hand she had a terrified look on her face for a minor second,

"Why do you guys have this book in your hand?" The librarian asked the girls rather rudely

"It is not your problem we want to borrow it," Ariana said

Bliss stopped her then lied, "No ma'am we have to do a project on this topic so we just wanted to borrow it"

"You can't borrow that book now give it to me," The librarian said and reached out her hand to get the book from Sohema's hand, Sohema quickly tossed the book to Lilian, "Excuse me ma'am this is a public library we will report this to your manager, "Sohema said

"Yea she is right you can't stop us from borrowing a book from the public library," Lilian said

"Well you can't prove that I acted this way to any manager because this side of the library doesn't have any cameras," the librarian said and smiled it was gross because her teeth were absolutely disgusting

"Guess what I already got it on camera Karen," Ariana said

"That is my girl!" Sohema said and then gave Ariana a high five

After the girls got the librarian kicked out from her job they finally decided to have a sleepover at Ariana's house as they had to plan everything,

The girls thought it was cool as it was like a little scavenger Wenger hunt but the truth was this was so much more than just a "scavenger hunt" so much more...
