Is he here?

"Why did you save me?" Lily whispered as she slumped down in a sitting position, her head looking down at the oak wooden floor. She was afraid to look Aziel in the eye, she was afraid of what he knew.

Using his hands, Aziel held Lily's chin and raised her head to look him in the eye. "It's simple. You're mine," he said, "I always protect what's mine, and you are not an exception."

Lily felt a shiver run down her spine, his words sending both fear and comfort to her. Before she could thank him, Aziel let go of her chin and stood to his feet. "No need to thank me," he dismissed, "I can do that much for my shoe even."

Lily pursed her lips and held back her thanks, but she couldn't help but see Aziel in a different light. Different from the cold way he projected himself.

Lily stood up as well and looked around only to notice everyone frozen in one position. She looked up and saw a sword hanging above her head. She was supposed to die by that sword.
