"Bold of you to come here unannounced..." Aziel smirked. He walked away from Lily and went to a candle stand on a table at the far corner of the room, "you're in my territory, aren't you scared?"

The beautiful lady dressed in a long white gown with flare hands smiled elegantly, "We've come a long way as partners for me to cower away in fear from you, be it your territory, or mine."

She walked closer to the bed and stared fondly at Lily.

"She looks just like Marina..." The lady pointed.

"She's also just as dumb as Marina," Aziel sneered.

The elegant lady in white sighed as she couldn't refute what Aziel had just said.

"I doubt she knew Denise was a witch. She's just as gullible as her mother..." the beautiful lady sighed.

"Thank you for taking care of her till now. Not to bother you anymore, I'll be taking her with me," the beautiful lady announced and Aziel frowned.

"There's no need for that Veronica, she's staying," Aziel said in finality.

Veronica, the beautiful lady, looked at Aziel slightly confused. Her usually calm face now held lines of worry, "Are you sure about that?" She asked in uncertainty.

"Yes. She stays," Aziel affirmed strongly.

Veronica looked at Lily again, this time worriedly. She was afraid of what would become of her in the royal household especially if they found out her true identity.

"Even if they find out who she is, they wouldn't be able to touch her because she's my property, she's mine," Aziel declared. He said that not to reassure Veronica but to remind her of the kind of power he holds.

Veronica sighed again and nodded her head. "If you may, please stop by my hut with her once in a while. I would like to get to know her."

"I'll think about that..." Aziel replied vaguely. He had stood in the corner since Veronica walked in, giving her the chance to spend a little time with Lily.

Veronica then smiled at Lily one last time before she disappeared along with the wind.

Lily was sure she heard voices last night. A soft mellifluous voice that belonged to a woman and a deep baritone voice that she recognized as Aziel's.

Her mind was clouded due to the effect of the medicine, and she could not make out what the topic of their conversation was about.

"Marina..." She mumbled as she searched her thoughts. She clearly heard them say Marina more than once. Who was this marina that they spoke of?

"You are awake," She heard Aziel say from the side. How long was he standing there without her notice?

Lily ignored his statement and massaged her throbbing head. The after-effect of the medicine was so severe but at least she wasn't poisoned.

"I've been wondering of late, Lily..." Aziel slowly walked to the bed and sat beside Lily. He stared deeply into her eyes and asked, "What is the color of your eyes?"

At first, Lily was confused by the question before she remembered he was blind.

He always moved without the help of someone or the help of a guide cane. One wouldn't even think of him as blind until he tells them himself, which was why it was not very unlikely that Lily forgot he was blind.

"Why are you asking all of a sudden?" Lily scoffed and looked elsewhere. Staring into his pale gray eyes always made her feel uneasy.

"My curiosity was piqued. I was wondering if you had blue eyes like the calm sea or hazel eyes that'll remind me of bursting fireworks," Aziel cocked his head slightly to the left, "So tell, what's the color of your eyes?"

"I guess you'll just be curious then 'cause I'm not telling," Lily scoffed proudly. She was glad she had the upper hand this time.

Aziel stared at her passively for a minute or thereabouts before he stood up and left the room.

Lily looked at the door Aziel left with a confused gaze. Was he angry? Lily wondered but soon got over it as she had to tend to her throbbing temple.

A long time had passed and Lily was still stuck in the room unsure of what her next move should be. In her alone time, she searched the whole room and still couldn't find anything or importance.

Despite her not showing any form of cowardice when Aziel was present, she was scared of going against him and facing his wrath.

Blabbing and taking action were two different things. She could drag words with him but was scared of defying him, else she would have left this room long ago to go see for herself just what this place was.

A knock on the door disturbed the silence of the room, and it opened to reveal the teenage girl from last night.

"Good evening Milady," the teenage girl greeted, holding a tray of food in her hands.

"Is it evening already?" Lily asked, shocked that such a long time had passed. She didn't even realize she hadn't eaten anything since yesterday.

"Yes, milady. I was asked to bring you some food and draw a bath for you," the teenage girl reported politely.

Lily eyed the food in the girl's hand suspiciously then she remembered Aziel wouldn't kill her with poison. Not that he wouldn't kill her, she was just relieved that he hadn't tried. Yet.

She smiled at the girl and asked, "what's your name?"

"Delilah. You can also call me Deli, milady." Deli beamed.

"Can you please stop referring to me as milady," Lily sighed. "You can call me Lily."

"But milady–"

"No, no," Lily shook her head, "the name's Lily." She reminded.

Deli smiled, showing that she understood what Lily meant. "Here's your food... Lily. I'll just go prepare your bath," Delilah politely handed Lily the tray and left to go draw a bath for her.

What just happened reminded Lily of when she always referred to Aziel as 'My lord' and he'd warn her never to refer to him as such again.

Lily shook her head, deleting whatever fond memories of Aziel she was remembering.

Looking back, Aziel had done nothing to hurt her, not even in the slightest bit.

He gave her medicine and even sent food for her. What was his deal?

Lily shook her head again and mentally warned herself not to think about Aziel or anything related to him.

She looked at the yummy oatmeal and felt her appetite grow more and more.

By the time she was done eating, Deli had finished drawing the bath for her.

"You can go have your bath Milady... oh no...Lily." Deli quickly corrected herself.

Lily chuckled at the clumsiness of Deli. She was loving her company as time passes. Probably because she was the only one she had seen in this place apart from Aziel.

"Sir Aziel also said you should come down once you're done."
