WATCHERS FATE I
Several hours towards dawn. The night was still dark and cold.
Not that Apollo and his fellow Watchers were feeling cold, on the contrary, they were feeling hot, covered in their own sweat for hours as they transferred the wooden crates packed full of treasure from the vault. Once everything was packed in the wooden crates, Abbot Jeromy and Brother Philemon left them to transfer the treasure from the vault.
For years, he was the in-charge or Chief of the Watchers. Having received the mandate from the previous chief Watcher before he passed on, along with the acceptance or blessing of the previous Abbot.
If someone asked him abruptly out of the blue how long he was the chief Watcher. It could take him some time to come up with a response. It was so long that even himself, he had stopped paying attention to the passage of years.
