The First Battle Part 1

It's have been two days since they started their conquest and subjugation of the forest monsters. Earning a total of 5000 fate points each, most of these points were earned by killing strong warrior stage monsters. But Mors did not spend his earn points on himself, as he use 4000 of that points to heal strong monsters he has subjugated. Along the way, some of their skills rank up

Like the two mates of the mantis queen. This army is now composed of a large group of diverse monsters, all wanting to die and with fear ingrained into their very bones. Their army is now around 1000 monsters. A large portion of them is ants and termites. As they have a lot of colonies to conquer. The elites of the army are made of monsters like the stone mantis, bone grasshoppers, acid toads, and paralyzing bees.

With such a large force, it becomes hard to feed them. Not like any of the two cultivators care, as the monsters were forced to eat the bodies of those that died or anything that can provide them with nutrients. On their path for more force, the forest becomes barren of resources. As the monster army will eat even the very ground to satisfy their hunger. If they were trying to protect the forest and its naturally crafted ecosystem, this will not make them any better than the corruption. But that it's not their goal, their goal is to stop the corruption for the sake of Zhihui clan and sec future.

Mors and Zhihui arrive at the edge of the corrupt territory. The difference between the forest and the areas the corruption has been like night and day. The forest is full of sound and life, with fertile soil. The side with the corruption is full of weird growths that suck the very ground fry of its biomass. Tress is stripped barren and the ground is naked without its beautiful coat of grass.

"Should we enter?"

Mors nods his head to Zhihui question, as they take their first step into enemy territory again. Their large monster army followed them soon behind, the monsters knew that they will soon be facing corruption. Monsters also cause them unimaginable fear. They don't know which one was worse, Mor's eyes or the corruption monster's eyes. Only time will tell.

As the army moves deeper into the territory of the corruption, it does take a long for them to meet a sizable size corruption horde. Some of these monsters the couple has dealt with before. The blade monsters, the spike throwers, and the flyers. But among these monsters are other new monsters they haven't seen yet.

Among the monster horde, stands monsters with two legs. Almost mimicking the way, a human looks. Two large arm pairs extend from their back, their exoskeleton looking extremely thick and heavy. Bulging muscles could be seen in the exposed skin these monsters have. At the end of two of their arms are long thick biological blades, cruel-looking, and with sharp and uneven edges, getting hit by one of does will probably cause a lot of bleeding.

The other pair of arms has a five-finger hand at the end. Their ugly monstrous head has large horns coming from the top. Its mouth is always open, reviling countless sharp teeth and green saliva. These monsters, holding proper swords are scattered all around the monster horde. Some do not have swords, but spears, or bows. It seems like they are elite units of this corruption.

These sword monsters seem to control the lower corruption monsters, almost serving as connectors to the hive minds, amplifying their orders and leading the lower corruption monsters better. The two armies look at each other for a few seconds, before the first step was made, by none other than Mors.

With his trusted spear in his hand, he started running towards the corruption force. The army followed behind him, fear all over their bodies. Some wanted to escape the confusion, having the weird emotion of hope. Only to be used as an example. An ant tries to escape during the confusion, only to be met by an earth pillar piercing its head.

These monsters now knew that there was no running away, as Zhihui, who is staying in the back lines will end their lives with a simple tap of her feet. Soon Mor's charge is met with a countercharge by the corrupt forces, as the sword monster command the rest to charge forward and die for the hive mind.

As the forces get closer, Mors looks one of the sword monsters in the eye. Channeling his QI into the tip of his spear, trying to control and suppress the power in a single focus point as he does a forward attack. His arm muscles scream in pain as a visible gush of force escapes the spear and is sent toward the head of this poor sword monster.

As this gush of force travels through the air, it leaves behind large and strong wind currents. That will cut and damage some of the lower corruption monsters as they travel above them. Soon this force hits the sword monster. Breaking its head into two pieces, a large shower of blood and gore rain on the monster. But it did not end there, as the force collapsed in on itself. Creation of a localized explosion in the area.

The strong explosion kills countless lower corruption monsters around the target, as a sweat voice of the system rings in Mor's ears.

Soon the two armies finally met, and blood and gore started to paint the ground. Zhihui signals the start of the battle by making countless fireballs appear from thin air, raining them down on the corruption monsters. Burning them alive and wounding countless others.
