Heng looks at Zhihui as he speaks.
"You got your talents back? Can you show me?"
Zhihui nodded her head as she opens her palms, making a water ball appear in her right hand, controlling pieces of earth in her left hand. Controlling the wind that surrounds her. After showing off the earthly elements, she moves to the heavenly elements.
She bites her lower lip, making it bleed as she controls the free-flowing blood. She controls the metal around the room, bending it and putting it back in its original place. She increases the gravity of the room by a bit, before turning it back to normal. She snaps her fingers, creating sparks of lighting between them.
As she finishes her demonstration, she looks at Heng. Seeing his surprised open eyes, made her giggle somewhat.
"Is this enough proof?"
"By the Celestial Dragon! How!? You lost all your talents!"
Heng said as he slams his wooden table with his hands. Standing up from his seat as he looks at Zhihui with open eyes. This should be impossible, while there have been people who awaken their hidden talents. Reawaking your talents after losing them makes no sense.
This goes against the very foundation of the world. Making thinking he was hallucinating; he eyes wonders across the room. Meeting the other occupants of the room, their expressions, and body language tells him that what he saw is real.
"This…have you reported this to the sect leader?"
"No, I was planning of showing him when I get to the capital"
"Ah…I have to report this as well my lady, please forgive me"
Zhihui did not like that, he was free to report the other things. But she wishes to show her parents her talents again, to see their surprised faces. It would ruin the whole event if Heng send them a report about her talents. Mors seeing this spoke before Zhihui could.
"There is no need to report this if she will show them herself once she gets there. Would you really ruin a special moment for her because of your own duty?"
Mors said, Zhihui nodding her head along to his words. Following up on after him.
"Please Heng, there is no need to report that I got my talents back. I want to show my parents my talents, a gift of sorts for the years they have spent taking care of me"
Heng stays quiet for a few seconds, thinking over what the young lady and her husband said. Only answering with a sigh.
"It would be a shame if my report was a few days late."
"It really would be a shame"
Zhihui said with a small smile, happy that they were able to reach a conclusion. But Heng started to speak once again.
"My lady, if I remember correctly, you wanted me to support you for Sect heir?"
"Yes"
"Care to explain how I would be able to influence my clan leader as only a core disciple"
"Don't you wish for a better training regimen for the disciples? Beat their arrogance out of them and made them people of good moral character?"
"Ah..yes"
'How the hell did she know that is what I wanted?'
Heng could not help but think to himself, surprised at how well the young lady has read him. If only he knew of her intensive knowledge of the future. In the future, Heng never becomes someone of importance in the future. But one of his current disciples, a young lady of the Xia Bao will become very important later.
The Heimen clan will face internal strife soon, with no good heirs to become the next leader. She comes in and takes the position of clan head from the main clan branch. Renaming the clan, the Xia Clan. From what she remembers, she looks up to her teacher a lot, a weak talentless governor of some city.
As the man was able to beat out of her that old worldview of hers. Arrogance replaces humility, greed with charity, and selfishness with selflessness. If Zhihui can convince Heng to support her, the future clan head of the Heimen/Xia clan will support her for the next sect heir.
"I do believe we should implement such a system; the young ladies and lords of the clans don't know the struggle of the common people. They are easy to become corrupt and work for foreign powers. My cousin, while she might be stronger than me, does not hold the same worldview I do. She is one of those people that will really benefit from the regimen you are planning"
"My lady…you should not speak ill of your own flesh and blood.. But I understand. I Just have one question. The current heir is just one breakthrough away from reaching the General Stage. If she succeeds you would be two stages behind her, how do you plan to close such a large gap?"
"My cultivation speed has been greatly improved, right now I am Warrior rank 3. If I continue to cultivate it won't take me long to reach the next stage"
Hearing her stage and rank, Heng was surprised. Cleary fast, as he remembers last year, she was just a Mortal stage cultivator. Her servants were even more surprised, as it has not been that long ago that her lady was Warrior rank 1, and in just a couple of days, she raises to two ranks?! The heavens really do have their chosen's Mors seems to be the same rank as Zhihui. Just goes to show how freighting his talents are.
"That truly is fast.. But I would not support you till you are at the same stage as your cousin. I am not a man that likes gambling. If you can accomplish that, I would support you, not like my support would be of much help"
"Then we have a deal"
Zhihui said as she shakes hands with Hengs, a smile on both of their faces as Heng speaks.
"My lady, why don't you stay here for an extra day? Let's celebrate you getting your talents back and your great accomplishment in defeating old-world corruption."
"That does not sound bad, a day to relax is always welcome"
Zhihui said as the groundwork for her succession plans has been laid.
