Walking Lesson

"So, Lily how was your life living in a palace?" asked Lucas. The three of them were having a dinner together in the dining hall. It was quiet, but Lucas broke the silence.

"Well… it's great, I guess?" answered Lily as she have a sip of her plain water.

"You guess?" asked Lucas while raising his eyebrows.

"w-well… most of the time, I spend my time with the royal etiquette lessons… it ended pretty late at night so it was tiring… but that's okay, I still got to learn a lot of new things~" said Lily as she gave both of them her smiles.

Then, Lucas gave Ren an 'are you serious?' look. Not agreeing the schedule that Lily has to go through.

"Then… I guess Ren is quite free after lunch tomorrow, so why don't you bring her a tour around the palace?" asked Lucas while looking at Ren.

"I'll ask Augustin to show you around." Said Ren without looking at Lily. However, Lily instead of Augustin, she was hoping Ren would show her around, hoping they could spend more time together.

"Ren, come on… she's your fiancée so you should spend more time with her and im pretty sure she's bored. If not, I'll be gladly be here tomorrow and show her around." Said Lucas and that triggered Ren.

"W-well, that's okay Lucas I'll be-" but before Lily could finish her lines, Ren says "alright, I'll ask Augustin to reschedule for tomorrow."

"Really?" asked Lily in excitement and Ren nodded. "I'll be seeing you tomorrow then." Said Ren and Lily nodded. Then, the three of them were having their meals together with some small talk.

Once the dinner ends, Lily bid them a goodbye and went to her chamber while both Ren and Lucas were having a small discussion in his study room.

"You didn't tell me she was cute." Said Lucas as he crossed his arms and leaned against the study table. "Well if I told you she's cute, you'll be arriving here on the day she moved in. plus, I know you're a player and I'm warning you, don't get too close to her." Said Ren in a cold manner.

"I see…. Someone is being protective~" said Lucas as he raised his eyebrows teasing Ren.

"The reason you chose her because you know who she is. She's the one you've been looking for, so what's with the cold treatment that you gave her?" asked Lucas suddenly.

"Because she's a princess to be and once I become the King later, she will become the Queen. So I don't want her to act like an ordinary girl. She needs to be prepared. Plus, she hasn't meet my parents yet but you know how my mom is." Answered Ren

"But seriously, I saw she was calling her mom and crying. You should spend more time with her. Based on the phone call she made today, I know that she's having a hard time. It's her first time living in a palace. It's not easy to adapt." Explained Lucas.

Ren who was sitting on the couch listening and agreeing whatever Lucas told him. "So what was the reason you came here?" asked Ren changing the topic.

"I'm here to inform you that I heard from my parents that Sir Luis is visiting our home next week. Probably his daughter will be meeting you here. Im guessing, he's been chasing you because he wants his daughter to marry you so his daughter could inherit some of your wealth." Said Lucas.

"No worries, Lily is here. I'll make sure to show them that who will be the King." Said Ren.

On the next day, Lily woke up feeling so excited. She just couldn't stop smiling and can't wait of meeting Ren later. Both of her servants noticed the happiness plastered on her face.

"Miss, you seems pretty happy today… is there any special occasion?" asked Mia, one of her servants.

"Yes. I'll be meeting Ren later once my lessons ended. He's gonna show me around the campus~" smiled Lily while Mia was brushing her hair while Anna was fixing her dress for today.

"Really? I hope you will have a great day later Miss~" said Anna.

Once they're done dressing up, Lily straight away to meet her tutor today. The last lesson for today is walking. As soon as Lily arrived, she saw her tutor has been waiting for her. "Good morning Miss, I believe that today is our last meeting and I hope you do well as the Crown Prince requested me to end the class before lunch because he has a schedule with you." Said her tutor.

With that, they started the lessons with Lily's head has been stacked with a few books.

"er, ma'am, how am I supposed to walk with books on my head?" asked Lily while trying to balance the book on her head while standing.

"You can. Just chin up, straighten your shoulder and walk." Said her tutor. With that, LIily began to walk. As soon as she took a few steps forward, the book fell down and she had to walk again. After failing for a few times, she found out that it was so hard to walk with the heels.

"Ma'am, could you at least let me try without the heels? I promise if I can do it, I'll try with the heels again." Pleaded Lily.

"Alright then. Let's see." Said the tutor.

While Lily was having her lessons, Ren who just came out from the meeting room with the Ministers are on his way to meet Lily. "Is she done with the lesson?" asked Ren while walking in the hallway with Augustin following him from behind. "She's still having her lesson… I heard she had a hard time trying to learn how to walk…" said Augustin. "Really?" asked Ren.

"Yes, your highness." Said Augustin.

"Then let's meet her there." Said Ren.

"Yes! I can do it without heels!" exclaimed Lily. "Well done Miss. Now, as you promised, let's try with the heels." Said her tutor. "Okay…" pouted Lily. While both of them were having their lessons, her tutor noticed that Ren has arrived in the room without Lily noticing them. She bowed slightly towards the Crown Prince and Ren gesture her to continue with the lessons as he won't bother them till she finished her lessons for today.

Ren was standing against the door and somehow, Lily hasn't noticed him yet as she was too focused on her lesson. As she walked, the book fell down again.

"Aww I'm blaming these heels." Said Lily as she picked up the books and stacks on her head.

"I can walk perfectly without books on my head. Now tell me, why is it so hard to walk like a noble lady?" asked Lily.

"Don't blame the books. Don't blame the heels."

Lily was too surprised with the sudden voice. As she turned her back, she noticed that Ren was walking towards her.

*has he been watching me all this time?!* thought Lily in embarrassment.

"To be a noble lady, your walk has to look perfect, elegant and graceful. In other words, poised. Am I right ma'am?" asked Ren towards the tutor.

"Yes you are right, Your Highness." Answered the tutor.

"but-"

"No buts. Come on, I'll help you." Offered Ren as he held out his hands. Then, Lily took his hands and he was holding her hands gently helping her to walk with the books on her head.

"Chin up, look straight at me and walk. Don't worry, I won't let your hands go…" assured Ren. With that, Lily nodded and try walking again. She was walking while looking straight at Ren. As for Ren, he was leading the walk slowly so that Lily could walk. Then, he noticed that Lily began to relax and he tried letting go of her hands slowly.

"Now try to walk on your own…" said Ren. "Don't worry, you can do it." said Ren. And with then, he let go of her hands and Lily try to walk on her own. Thankfully, she managed to walk without letting the books fall.

"Oh my god I can do it!" said Lily happily. As she was too excited that she could finally walk in stable, she forgot she was wearing a heels and she jumped lightly. With that, she almost twists her ankle and fall on the floor.

Luckily, Ren was fast to catch her by her waist before she could fall.

"Are you alright?" asked Ren and Lily nodded. "Yes Your Highness, im fine." Said Lily as her cheeks turned slightly pink because of their faces were too near with each other. Then, Ren helped her to stands up properly. "Thank you, Your Highness." Said Lily.

"I believe her Royal Etiquette Lessons has ended, right?" asked Ren "did she passed all the lessons?" added Ren while looking at the tutor. Lily was looking at the tutor hoping she would say she has passed all the lessons with flying colours.

*please please please* thought Lily.

"Yes, Your Highness, she passed all the lessons and I believe she would be a very great noble lady and the future Queen Kingdom of Stella." Said her tutor.

"YES!" exclaimed Lily happily. Ren who was standing next to her noticed how happy she was. "Well, shall we start with our palace tour?" asked Ren. "About that Your Highness, can you excuse me for a while? I gotta change my clothes… I am not gonna wear this while walking around the palace as she showed Ren her dress and heels.

"Alright, I'll wait for you downstairs." Said Ren.

"Okay, Your Highness." said Lily with a smile.
