Problems for the Group?

In the afternoon of the same day, in a more remote area of Rosecoast...

A group of people gathered near the local docks, near an abandoned shipyard.

From where they stood, they could see the city's beautiful pink coastline, marked by a special type of crystal common along this coastline.

A few boats could be seen in the distance, fishing or waiting for an opportunity to dock at the port.

At the same time, even from this area, far from the busiest parts of Rosecoast, one could see the city's most important stretch of beach, where much of the city's central business district was located.

But the people in this abandoned shipyard weren't interested in the view. From the relatively dark spot where they stood, a blond man with a terrible look faced four people dressed in black with masks on their faces.

"Are all our infiltrators in my older brother's house dead?" Giles asked the people before him, not expecting this outcome just when his plans were so close to succeeding.

"We don't have confirmation that they all died, but that seems to be the case, boss." One of the men replied. "After Felicity returned to the side of the group that foiled our kidnapping plans against her, they all fell into enemy hands.

It's possible that Duke Pennel already knows you're against him."

The blond man with a neat beard and relatively youthful appearance turned even redder than he already was when he heard this, seeing his plans ruined overnight.

"Shit!"

One of the men in front of him saw his boss' nervousness and suggested. "Should we cancel our plans for the auction in the next few days? Maybe it's time to postpone our goals?"

"No." Giles glared at the man. "Since my brother probably suspects I'm involved in all this, we must act fast!"

"What does the boss have in mind?" One of them asked.

"It is unlikely that my brother has received information from our men. But in order not to risk too much, some of the information we have for this event will be leaked to the enemies of the Duke of the Province."

"Oh? The boss wants to disguise this attack to make the Duke think it's something from an outside power?"

"If he can get one of our comrades to talk, we can avoid being blamed for this infiltration." Giles smiled at his misfortune.

However, much of his plans had suddenly been disrupted, and he had quickly found a way out of the problem.

"Hire assassins to take care of those four people. Give them the bounty they need to eliminate these pests!"

"We'll do our best!"

The group replied in unison before disappearing like ghosts.

When Giles was left behind, he wasn't alone.

A man dressed all in black and nearly six feet tall emerged from one of the shadows in which he was hiding and approached Giles.

"You cannot fail in your next move, or you will frustrate our master." Said the man whose face was hidden in the shadow of his hood.

Hearing this person's crackling voice, Giles looked at him with disgust and a little fear, but he didn't turn away or try to deflect the problem.

"I know. Our next steps will be successful. We'll be able to dominate the province and bring Blaze Company into the dynasty." Giles commented as he looked at the sunset.

A sinister laugh came from the mouth of the tall man next to Giles, who soon disappeared into the darkness again.

...

Meanwhile, Dax and Levi had already registered with the mercenary guild of the High Magister Order, one of the two mercenary guilds in Rosecoast.

Following what Seth had told Kevin, they spoke on his behalf when they entered this other guild.

After being greeted by the guild leader, Levi, and Dax collected some quests and set out to complete them to earn coins for the group.

Although each member of the Misty Woods tribe had different special abilities, they all had good stamina, regeneration, strength, and speed. Some of them had combat-oriented abilities, like Dax and Atlas. But even those who weren't born fighters, like Emery and Levi, could fight very well.

After a few hours of hunting wanted bandits in Rosecoast, Levi and Dax completed 4 missions and collected a few hundred gold coins.

They picked up their last paycheck at dusk and were about to rejoin the rest of their group when Levi paused as he put one foot outside the guild building.

Dax stopped behind Levi and asked. "What is it?" He looked around and saw the city's central square, where a large garden of 800 square meters covered the view in front of him.

Levi said. "Three people are watching us with hostile peeks."

"That is not strange. We got involved in the Pennel family's problems and are now doing missions for this guild. Those behind the groups we probably disturbed must be angry." Dax looked around carefully but couldn't see the enemies clearly because he didn't have Levi's tracking skills or Emery's supervision.

But he asked. "Where are they? I'll neutralize them quickly."

"Don't be so hasty. The boss asked us to be discreet, didn't he? Taking action against them in the middle of the city might attract unnecessary attention. Let's lure them to a place where we can act secretly."

Levi stood with his eyes closed, feeling two men on a rooftop and a woman behind a tree watching them.

Dax was about to summon his magic weapon, which was his special power, but he suddenly lowered his fighting intent. "You're right."

"Let's go to the woman two blocks south of our position. She doesn't seem to have the same level of malice as the two men watching us." Levi said as he walked towards the person.

Dax agreed as he followed behind the group's tracker, scratching his fingers anxiously to see where it would lead.

Dax was the second-best fighter in the group; in fact, of all the survivors of their tribe, he lost only for Seth and Moses. As such, he was eager to test opponents and take out some of his frustration on fools who stood in his way.

He and the rest of the group had a peaceful culture that told them not to attack other creatures unless the other side disturbed them first or they were looking for food.

Even after the disappointments some of them had experienced after discovering a little more about the reality of Ihaes, it wouldn't be easy for them to let go of that culture.

So Dax couldn't help but get excited when Levi confirmed they were being followed!
