Lyonel POV
You might think that with my experience I would be some sort of genius in all expects of life, but the sad truth is without the internet most of the time I have no idea what I am doing. I hate swordsmanship the most even with teachers as legendary as Ser Barristan and Ser Jaime, I just could not move as they do, so I like Hound as my teacher the most, even though he was by my grandfather to keep an eye on me. The Hound and I are a lot alike, we see the world as it is, filled with blood and madness. So there I am being beaten like a dead horse, but it is I who asked for this, no matter how untalented I am at fighting, at least I can learn how to take a hit or two.
In this world, martial power means a lot, after all, no matter how many titles you may have, no matter how much gold you may have and no matter how much power you may have, a knife to a heart is all it takes to bring you down. If I remember correctly Robert died by boar while hunting, what a way for a demon of the trident to die. That why I swore to be as fit as possible.
Another strength that I want most is information that why I leave the red keep to mingle in the streets of flea bottom I just find desperate people and give them a little bit of gold I they tell everything they know, that how I come to possess a dozen spies that tell what going on the city. And with shops that I opened with Tyrion's help gold was not the problem anymore.
But no matter how much power and control I have there is still an enemy that I have nightmares of every night, the fucking white walkers, how to you even supposed to fight them? Only fire and dragonglass come to the mind, but they're still is a shield, 700ft tall shield, but no man to hold it so there I was in a tower of hand, to help our friends in the north.
"How can I help you my prince?" asked the old lord of the Vale.
"I just wanted your opinion about the future of the kingdoms, my Lord." I politely answer. Even though I don't like that much, he still earned my respect for not letting my father destroy the kingdoms. " I was thinking the Starks are probably the most loyal to us and they have given a lot for my father rule, but we did not reward them much."
"The North is indeed most loyal to us, but I do believe that we reduce their taxes quite a bit as a reward." That is why I don't like him, he doesn't see the big picture.
"Yes, you are right but we did with all the kingdoms that supported us, think north deserves a lit bit more."
"And what that would be? I believe you have a suggestion?" At least he isn't stupid.
"Yes I do, the best way to garner goodwill among the North would be to support the wall. You see I heard that north didn't like when the Targaryen's take the new gift from the Starks, so why not give them back this land and let's not forget about thousands of homeless man in Kingslanding, why not send them to the wall at least then they be useful to something." I suggest to the Hand, even though I believe there are many problems with what I am suggesting, but I don't care, after all, I am just 12 years old.
"Very interesting, it is true the north would appreciate our support for the night's watch, I will write to Lord Stark for his opinion if that would be all I have other things to deal with, my prince." And that is the reason I respect him, he is very reasonable.
"Of course lord Hand, I wouldn't want to take more of your time, farewell," I say as I leave the tower.
Tyrion POV
Its been 6 months since I have talked with my nephew, even though the designs he gave me, let me open half a dozen shops, how can he expect me to investigate Baelish, when I am not be found out, is beyond me, at least he gave me time.
"You have summoned me, my prince?" I ask as I enter his chambers, this time I found him reading some book. It is truly wondrous how he is always doing something.
"Please uncle, call me mine name, at least when we private. But yes I have summoned you to ask how are the things I entrusted are going?" He asks what I have already expected of him.
"The shops are doing well and they are getting popular with the citizens and lords are like, but I still could not find much of our suspect," I answer him truthfully.
"Our suspect? I see you at least started to believe me." He says, but it is true Baelish is truly suspicious. "Do not worry I expect that much, he is quite smart, but I believe he will slip sometime, and there would be you who bring him to justice."
"I have to say you bring a lot of work to me, I have to wonder what I will get at end of this." And I wonder how he takes that, will he be disguised at me for asking reward or even start hating me.
"Hahaha, of course, I will reward you, I give you what you always wanted, the Rock." It's a good thing I was not drinking wine otherwise I would have to spit it on his face. "I see you surprised, even though you technically already am the heir to the rock, my grandfather will not let happen, and do not have the reputation to truly be the warden of the west, without another questioning you, but catching a traitor and becoming a future's king's Hand would fix that, even grandfather could not deny that haha."
Well, I did not expect this, but I think I will like our future king quite a bit.
