Chapter Eight: Bad Dream or Hellish Nightmare

"Who are you?" Finley asks in a panicked state.

"Relax Finley, it's just me." Lia said in a very calm state.

"Lia!? Where on God's green earth were you!?" Finley questions Lia, still in a very panicked state.

"Oh, Alicia and William thought they could take me away from you guys in my sleep and they were wrong because I knocked them out cold again." Lia said in a shaky but confident tone of voice.

What Lia didn't know was that the stormtrooper that she knocked out was not actually William. She knocked out the wrong person. Just as soon as she realized that, William appeared from behind. Finley, Ben and Aria all looked on in shock because they had some idea that one of the two was going to trick everyone.

"Hello, my little slut. How are you doing today?" William said in a sly and creepy tone.

"What the fuck!? I thought I knocked you out in the woods earlier!?" Lia said in a panicked tone of voice.

"Well, you fell for my trap there, my little pet. You should be proud of yourself for that." William said in a creepy and for some reason, a happy tone. Finley's eyes grew wide, and he was visibly agitated and pissed off by the comments that William was making towards Lia. William walked over to Lia, and he grabbed her waist tightly. Lia turns around and gets pushed to the ground and lands onto her back. Ben notices this and helps Lia up but gets a death glare by William due to how he helped the twins escape.

William then walks over to where Lia is being helped up and pushes Ben out of the way. He forcefully grabs Lia by the shoulders and Finley looks in agony at his frail yet stubborn sister. William looks at the stormtroopers he brought and points at Finley, Ben, and Aria and orders them silently to hold them down.

William leads a distressed Lia away, far away from her brother, Ben, and Aria. But before Lia gets taken, she mouths to her brother: "Finley, I'm scared. Please help me." Finley couldn't see what she was mouthing but Aria did.

"Finley, your sister mouthed 'Finley, I'm scared. Please help me.' I think William has done something horrifying that makes her react that way." Aria said in a concerned tone of voice.

"I can't do this anymore. Can you just go back to your stupid regime and leave me alone?" Finley asked in a defeated and dark tone.

"Well, you two traitors are getting off easy, but you still have to see Alicia to see what your charges will be." One stormtrooper said in an angry and agitated tone.

"But Finley, you-" Aria began to say but is cut off by Finley.

"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE, YOU TRAITORS!?" Finley yells in an agonizing tone to the point it makes Ben and Aria step back in shock.

"Come on, traitors. You have a pending punishment with Alicia." A second stormtrooper said in a mocking tone of voice.

Now with Ben and Aria gone, Finley is left alone with the remaining two stormtroopers. They both have guns in their hands and Finley is looking at them with desperation. The two stormtroopers look down at Finley and start to laugh at him because of all that has transpired. Finley looks up at them, defeated and tired, and just stares at them with no expression on his face.

"Can you please walk away but before you do, give me one of your guns and leave it on the ground." Finley said with no emotion in his voice and with no expression on his face.

"Sure, kid. Here you go. Enjoy the afterlife, if you actually get into an afterlife." Both stormtroopers said in unison with no emotion in their voices.

They leave Finley with the gun and leave him to his own devices. Finley looks at the gun in desperation and grabs it. He holds it to his head at first and then puts it to his stomach. He leaves it there and thinks to himself for five seconds. He then puts his finger to the trigger and hesitates for a minute. After the hesitation, he hears footsteps coming in his direction, but he blocks it out. When the footsteps come to a halt, Finley realizes who the footsteps were coming from. It was William's footsteps. William looked on with a fake look of pity on his face. Out of nowhere, Finley shoots himself into his stomach and falls onto the ground instantly. William laughs in hysteria and leaves soon thereafter.

Meanwhile, Lia had no idea Finley had shot himself in the stomach. She was deep in the woods where William had left her to see what Finley was up to. Lia ran into a tree and climbed up it. She stayed frozen in place when she heard William's voice. She heard him yelling like there was no tomorrow. He left a few seconds after trying to find Lia but, to no success. As soon as William gets out of Lia's view, she gets down from the tree and starts running.

She runs towards her neighborhood, and she finds her old home. She run towards her home and knocks on the door. She doesn't get a response the first time, so she knocks on the door again. The father of the household comes to the door and looks at Lia confused and concerned.

"Hello. Who are you?" The father asks her in a confused tone.

"Hi, my name is Lia Logan. My parents and younger sister were killed in this home and me and my twin brother were taken by the government. Can I come in because I have ran from the government and I have no idea where my twin brother is." Lia said in a concerned and tired tone.

"Wait, you're against the government too?" The mother shows up and asks Lia in a grateful and relieved tone.

"Yeah, I am. My parents and younger sister were killed due to me and my twin brother's actions." Lia said in a sorrowful and dark tone of voice.

"I'm so sorry for your loss, Lia." The oldest kid, who is most likely seven years old, said in a sad tone.

"Yeah. I always hope our mommy and daddy come home without being injured or killed." The youngest kid, who looks like Juliana's age, said in a grave and sad tone.

"May I take refuge in your house until I can find my twin brother and so that I can get back on my feet again?" Lia asks in a calm and concerned tone of voice.

"Of course you can, sweetie. Stay as long as you need to." The mother said in a sweet and caring tone of voice.

"Thank you ma'am. Thank you so much." Lia said in a happy and calm tone.
