She was a beautiful goddess atleast some men described her as such...finding love as a woman with those described qualities were neither here nor there.....

One afternoon she was invited to a book launch by her dear friend who hated that she for a beautiful siren woman like her she was single..she felt her friend deserved the world and to meet a man who was fearless to approach a woman like her..

Although she did not want to go to the book launch her friend seemed persistent and persuasive about it..you could swear she set her up for a blind date which was not the case but her persuasiveness was like those sales trainees selling a product like their life depends on it.

in the early 2000 women were spoilt for choice when it came to fashion..everything they touched and wore turned into magic..Maria decided since its just a book launch she wont go all out but everything she wore turned heads,men fell head over heels for her..

That night she decided to just put on her baggy riped jeans and a red t-shirt that showed a bit of her breathtaking skin and high heels to die for..she put on her red lipstick,shinny necklace and a purse that went well with the dress code..She put on a perfume that you could smell its sensuality and irresistible qualities from miles away and they went out.

The breath of that fresh air seemed like it was what Maria needed although she did not want to acknowledge it out loud to her friend,she silently whispered. As they arrived at the book launch she noticed something quiet interesting but she did not ask her friend what the book launch was all about since the friend did not want to reveal to her because she hated novels but that night she chose to just go anyway.

Upon their arrival at the big event her Aha moment went crazy that her friend ask her why is she so loud..The book was about a young African woman who fought for women in many ways women can never understand:An African Feminist..This is interesting she murmured as she liked a woman who expresses her self without fear of the male dominance and harsh criticism..

As the author of the book took a stage to talk about what led her to write such a book..Maria was intellectually stimulated by what the writer was saying she was so attentive and smiling here and there little did she know she was been watched by a very handsome man who seemed to have all the money in the world..

Simon could not stop starring he even forgot why he was there. He has never seen such a beautiful woman who looked good in a simple outfit with a smile that could land him in prison. The book launch went on and ended at 9pm.

As Maria and her friend prepared to leave Simon did not waste anytime approaching her although his heart was beating fast with a bit of nervousness in his emotions he took a chance anyway. As he approached her he spoke like a true gentlemen."excuse me miss" My name is Simon and i would like a moment with you"..She turned around and she was in disbelieve what she was seeing with her eyes.He was tall dark and handsome..Her jaws dropped from the inside she did not want to look mesmerized out-loud..

"My name is Maria,How can i be of assistance to you sir"?..Simon stumbled a bit,her voice was so soft it sent all kind of signals to the heart mind and soul it was as if he could almost picture her whispering "ooohhhh simon" in his Versace sheets,

"Hellooooo" Maria said, that was when he quickly snapped out of his fantasy world. "ohh i am sorry miss,you are beautiful i got lost in your beauty pardon my mind it went on a trip". I was wondering if you would like to go out with me,I know we just met so i wont be persuasive. Maria thought for a while about the proposal,he was so handsome and well dressed her kind of a man, she agreed to go out and simon couldn't be happier they set a date for their first meeting and exchanged numbers.

A week passed since Simon heard from the gorgeous Maria and it broke his heart it was as if his other half was missing. On the other hand Maria was being a true goddess lady, she remembered a song she used to listen with her late mother " when he small talk you don't have to answer right away make him wait by the door to meet your daddy before that first kiss girl make him wait" she laughed so hard drinking her red wine wearing her silk night dress picturing how he must be feeling not hearing from her ever since the book launch.

Although it wasn't her first encounter with a male she thought to herself,i am going to make this one work for it besides he looks like those men who want forever with a woman so she didn't want to bore him with her forwardness because a man's heart is a man's heart. 2 weeks passed and Maria decided to return the poor man's 90 missed calls. Upon seeing "my wife" on his screen Simon jumped in joy he couldn't believe it, he ran around the house so happy like a baby with a lollipop.

He finally pulled himself together and answered the call, " well well well if isn't miss disappear, hello mam, flattered on the other side Maria made up a story of why she couldn't be of reach and she would like to reschedule their meeting if he still up for it. He agreed.

The day of the set date came, Maria wore a beautiful red dress above the knees and put on her red lipstick and high heels and a black coat since it was a bit cold. she wore her Le roux perfume and headed out. Simon on the other hand wore a beautiful suit and his favourite perfume, he was a true gentleman indeed and he headed out on his car playing loud soft music. Upon arrival he saw how beautiful Maria was and God forgive this man's filthy thoughts. They booked a table for two and sat down. He couldn't take her eyes off her, you look gorgeous he said".Thank you, you don't look bad yourself.

They continued to chat until their food arrived, Simon took her to one of the best restaurants in town. After they were done eating they went out of the restaurant for some more fresh air and getting to know each other.

So what do you do for a living Simon asked Maria.? Ohh me i am aiming to be an entrepreneur... I would like to own a big tech company one day as for community development, i want to contribute in poverty eradication and help the marginalized group since they never really get the same equal opportunity from this government no matter their efforts it is still not enough is just a way for the government to get votes from them after that they disappear into thing air with their promises leaving the poor people poorer so i want to be the gap.

That is so thoughtful miss gorgeous i never thought about it that way."

Well i am an Accountant sorry for that is just that people don't like accountants that much, there is this stereotype that accountants are stingy with their income because they know a lot about liabilities and assets.

Maria looked at him suspicious and asked "what kind of a person hates someone's profession based on that logic well i think being an Accountant is rather cute, accountants are assets and i think each family should have an Accountant in their home for financial advices and future planning so that they don't misuse the money to drugs and alcohol and spending it on girls and shoes. Well Miss gorgeous, you have a brilliant mind so thoughtful and logical i think i am falling in love---

he looked at her with his hazel eyes and she felt her heartbeat and wondered what kind of charm and spell did Simon put on her.

They took pictures of each other like high school students and even planned their future together. Simon had already started with his business plan he wanted to have his own business he was tired of the 9-5 paycheck and so was Maria..
