As the robotic voice announced, the whole world went quiet. Others were in disbelief. The rest was simply confused. As for the one who was meant to get the reward was silent. Her face unreadable as it is covered by her front hair. She was looking down at her hands. Seemingly debating about something. Her brain did not take too long to understand the situation. She was not an idiot. She knew what it was. What the voice was. What the event entails. But she needed to be certain. So for now they went home. Lest they get in trouble.

Dragging Elena by the hand. They left the mall in hurry. All the evidence of the bear and the event was gone. The whole place was repaired. The wall that used to had a huge crack, was back to what it originally was. So the police will have no lead. At least that thought made her relax. Alisha did not want to drag Elena in government mess. She knows how they're like. The dark side of it.

At home. Elena was still in shock of the announcement. Alisha had to shake her out of her daze. She motioned for Elena to follow. And that's what Elena did. They went to the basement. As usual. There Alisha place the body on an operating table. Where did the table come from? No one really knows. Anyway. The body of the bear lays there with a hole in it's stomach. Elena looked at the corpse and surprisingly enough she did not feel gross towards it. Alisha noticed her expression, grinned. Both examined the body. Opening it and what they found was something they had never seen before.

Inside was just as normal as a very normal bear. But near the heart. There was some sort of crystal. A red crystal. It was pulsing and had a very ominous feeling to it. Alisha reached out only to be stopped by another hand.

" Don't be careless, what would happen if it's dangerous? " Elena stated firmly.

Alisha understood her worries. So she decided to use a glove. Grabbing the crystal. Alisha confined it in a box. Elena was the one who disposed the body. But not before taking the horns, and claws apart. They both spent the entire day on the basement. Unbeknownst to them. The announcement that happened has made people restless. Of course they were too busy to notice.

Alisha looked at the gem in her hand. Then at the floating screen in front. Elena does not seem to see it. That means she's the only one who can see it. Pursing her lips. She looked at the description of the gem.

Alisha made a conflicted face. Souls. Vengeful ones too. It said Rank C. 500 souls. If it's the same as those kind of ranking. Then how many souls is there in Rank A. Alisha did not want to think about it. Just doing so makes her neseaus.

Elena seeing her reaction was confused. Did Alisha find something? She thought. As she reached to her shoulder. Elena felt her flinch. Brows furrowed. She shook her and was about to call out when the said girl started to shake violently.

" Alisha! Hey hey-hey hey hey, I'm here "

Elena called out, worried. Alisha stumbled back but Elena caught her in time. She gently held her. Alisha was shaking so much. She frowned. What's going on?

She sat down in a chair. Alisha in her lap. Since Alisha was half head taller. She had to bend down. Her head ended up in Elena's neck. Elena patted her back. Trying to calm her down. Whispering calm words at her. After a while. Alisha stopped shaking. Elena looked down and saw her asleep. Sighing, she stood up. Carried Alisha to her room and decided to sleep there as well. Elena would need her to explain on what happened. But for now, she needed to sleep. Too much stuff happening at the same time.

Next morning. Both did their routine and headed straight to the basement. They were still not done with their research. But before they could. The doorbell rang. Elena look at Alisha, who is also confused in cunfusion. But seeing her expression. It seems they both did not know that there would be a guest. Elena decided to go while Alisha prepares the things they needed. For experimentation.

At Elena.

" You! Why are you here? "

Elena questioned the person outside the door. At first she was angry but remembering that the person does not seem to be involved. With a sigh, she let them in.

" Follow me "

Elena led them to the basement where Alisha was waiting. She would need her opinion about this.

At the basement. Alisha had already cleaned everything. Knowing there are guest. Guest she did not know of. Right now she's waiting for Elena. She did not know who the guest were. But if Elena did not make a fuss. That means that they're good. For now.

While waiting. Alisha heard the same sound when the announcement was made. With furrow brows. She read the words on the screen. Word by word. Until she reached the last part. Which made her wide-eyes. She pondered on the words. If what it says is true, then that means that they need to prepare sooner than expected. Alisha would need to discuss the topic with Elena. Maybe along with the Pendragon Family.

Elena arrived and directly went inside. Followed by the supposed guest. The person was in awe at the sight. Who wouldn't? Their sightseeing had to end though. Both arrived in front of Alisha. The said girl raised a curious brow. Elena seeing this, sighed and shook her head. Sometimes Alisha can be stupid. She finds everything with curiousity. Leave it to her to make something interesting.

Elena sat next to her and nudged her in the shoulder. Alisha looked at her friend. Then at the person standing in front.

" So to what do I owe the pleasure of meeting the Whyte's young miss? "

The girl pursed her lips. She can hear the sarcasm in those words. Alisha Nightingale. The one who manages her family business in such a young age. Her family, more precisely her parents held a grudge against them. Why? She did not know. No one would tell her even if she asks. But this wasn't about her. No, she's here for a favour. So with determination. She bowed.

This action, of course shocked Elena and Alisha. The proudful Whyte Family never bows to anyone. At least that's what they want everyone to see them as. But now. The yoing miss of the said family. Is bowing before them. But what shocked them more was her pleading voice.

" Please help me! "

There was silence for a moment. No one said a word. One was feeling conflicted. The other was slowly losing hope as the silence prolong. The last one was in deep thought.

Alisha looked at the girl and slightly parted her lips and spoke; " Why should I "

Her voice made the girl flinch. She clenched her teeth. She told herself that she must not fail. Her brother's life depends on this. Steeling herself, she looked up. Only to see Alisha with a smile. She was shocked at first. But regained her posture.

She asked in doubt; " Is there anything you want me to do? As a compensation "

She waited. Until she heard a sigh. Her muscle tensed. Then a different voice spoke;

" Are you sure you can take the consequences? The Nightingale and Pendragon family will not let you off lightly if you do not take responsibility "

She look at the person who spoke. Elena Pendragon. A young genius who everyone knows.

Before the girl could finish. She was interrupted by the same robotic voice.
