It's been two weeks since Tyson returned to his home. He hugged and greeted his mother upon arrival and discussed where to settle. She didn't really have a preference other than somewhere not so cold, so she may enjoy the outdoors. So here Tyson was pondering where to settle; he thought about the water gardens, Castamere, Tarth, or somewhere in the reach. He would decide soon, as he thought back to the feast. 'Could have been alive if you had just been less crazy,' he thought with a sigh. Since his arrival, he has changed things.
Aerys was supposed to die by Jamie Lannister, but that's changed.
Elia was supposed to be betrothed to Rhaegar but now that he was sure the Martell's would look towards him, the political scene has been knocked off its head as word has spread about him. 'No doubt letters will come as soon as I settle into a land about meeting me,' he thought as he layed on his bed. 'Let me sleep on it,' as he drifted off to sleep.
It's been a few days since his coronation, and now Rhaegar sat down for the small council meeting as king. He knew he would be king one day, but not in this way. He still hears his father's screaming in pain from his head being squished.
He didn't have a close relationship with the king; he felt a bit sad, but nothing more. Lord Steffon Baratheon arrived along with Lord Tywin and Varys, with measter Pycelle waddling in and finally his mother, whom he had requested to be here, walked in gracefully. His father had ordered Lord Steffon to Kings landing but he died before they spoke, so he named Lord Steffon Master of Laws, and Tywin remained as Hand.
"Let's begin," he said as everyone took their respective seats, with his mother on his left. As they discussed the troubles of the realm, which were not a cause for worry, there was a lingering shadow cast in the room, and it had to be addressed. Lord Steffon spoke, "Perhaps, Your grace we may discuss Lord Tyson."
As he spoke, everyone stopped and eyed each other. Rhaegar sighed with an easy smile. "Of course, I would like to hear from you all on the matter," he said, although there wasn't much to discuss, but you might as well hear their opinions.
Varys began, "My little birds have not spotted any flying man or flying castles in the skies, your grace." They all nodded. Lord Steffon spoke next. "But it is only a matter of time before he arrives. Your grace, you saw what he did to your father, and steel didn't even pierce his skin, let alone Dawn, which is comparable to Valyrian steel. What's to stop him from adding more land to wherever he chooses your grace" he said.
'He makes a great point' Rhaegar thought, "Your worries are warranted, my lords; however, he did say he was open to the idea of marriages." He spoke.
Pycelle spoke up "Marriages your grace; the faith only allows one wife," Lord Tywin rolled his eyes. "And due say Measter Pycelle, who from the faith will tell him how many wives he takes and deny him," Tywin says as Pycelle shuts up, he continues "Your grace, if he wants land, he will take it, or anything for that matter," Tywin finished. Everyone agreed with that statement as Rhaegar looked at his mother, and she gave him a smile and a nod.
"This is why I will be proposing a royal marriage between my mother and Tyson; he showed interest during the feast, and she has agreed; if agreed upon, then she will move with Lord Tyson."
As the king announced the news, Lord Tywin couldn't help but think, 'If Rhaella becomes one of his wives, and I doubt he will go around fathering bastards, then that leaves a few more spots for his wife, and Cersei will be one of them; inviting him for a feast will be a start," he thought as the king called an end to the meeting.
As everyone exited the small council room, Rhaegar turned to his mother. "Are you sure about this mother, Me and Tyson seemed to start up a friendship during the feast," he said. His mother looked at him with an amused smile. "Oh well, then will you be happy to be his wife, I'm sure you'll make beautiful babies, my son."
Rhaegar looked stunned at his mother's joke and let out a laugh. "No, of course not, but if that's what I must do if you are not sure of this," he said with an amused tone. Rhaella hugged her son. "I am okay with this. He's not bad on the eyes either," she said with a smile.
"Ughh, mother," he says as she lets out a laugh and turns the corner with Ser Whent behind her to visit viserys. As Rhaegar walks through the halls, he can't help but think, 'what will you do next, Tyson.'
