Happiness

Sophia continued with her day work, and what the strange lady said did not bother her. She thought to herself that the lady could be Wilson's girlfriend.

Some hours later, she received a message from her mum that her dad was not feeling well and she should be coming home that day.

She quickly put the call through to her friend and packed everything she needed to pack and locked her shop. She was praying silently that nothing bad should happen to her father.

She got to the bus stop before she remembered Wilson. She promised to have a date with him the following day. She also thought of informing him of the latest development.

"Hello, how are you? Mum called and said that I should be coming home," she said on the phone.

"What! I hope all is well." She heard it on the other end.

"Mum said that my dad is not feeling well, and I should come and assist her," she explained.

"Alright, sorry about that. Where are you now?" He said on the other end.

"At the bus stop, I don't want to disturb you. That is why I didn't call you earlier. My vehicle will soon be moving now, "she announced."

"Please, don't go yet. I will meet you there. Describe where you are exactly," he said on the other end.

"Please now, don't let me bother you with my problem. I have been disturbing you for a few days now," she said sadly.

I'm on my way. Describe the place, and don't leave before I get there. "Your problem is my problem," he replied on the other end.

Sophia sighed and hung up the call. She quickly forwarded the address to him. He knew so well that he would not take no for an answer.

Sophia came out of the vehicle and sat under a shade. She began to thank God for bringing such a caring man on her way. Even though he said "friend," what he really wanted was more than a friend. She knew well that he was just using the term "friendship" to get to her heart.

She brought out her phone to start playing a game to keep herself busy. After some minutes, she checked the time and thought that Wilson was taking too long.

About thirty minutes later, a car halted in front of her. She checked who the person could be because that was not the car she had seen with Wilson.

Wilson rushed out of the car and came to hug her. He told her his dad would be fine. She should not hide anything from him. And if the situation does not improve, they can carry him to a better hospital in the city.

Tears rolled down from Sophia's eyes. Wilson used his handkerchief to clean it. and hug her tightly. He thought that she was crying because her father was sick, not knowing that it was a tear of joy. Sophia did not know when she asked the question that got Wilson emotional.

"Why have I not met you all these years? Sophia said, unconsciously, while still sobbing.

The words got Wilson emotional. He also almost said tears. He bent down before her.

"Because this is the time God has made for us to meet, and we will be glad and rejoice in it," he said softly.

Sophia was the first to hug him this time. All she could say at that moment was "thank you."

Wilson brought some food items and beverages for her to take along.

He also gave her some money. Sophia was so happy and grateful to God. She almost knelt down to thank Wilson. He was the one that dragged her up.

I will go on time because it's getting late. I will call you. Text your account number to me. If you want to borrow some money from me, "you may do so," he teased her.

"Okay, my bank manager," she replied jokingly.

Sophia entered the vehicle, and Wilson waited until the vehicle zoomed off.

Wilson discovered he was always very happy around Sophia and never thought of sleeping with her, unlike the other ladies he was carrying around. All he cared for was to sleep with them. He discovered that everything about Sophia was different.

He also observed that since Sophia came into the picture, all his contracts had been successful. So he thought of getting married to her quickly. He also remembered that his rival had fought with him because of Sophia.

A thought came to him that he should take the opportunity to go and visit her father, and from there he would introduce himself. He was so happy about the idea because he could not trade Sophia for anything.

He got back to his office and was a bit tired. He called his secretary to make tea for him. He drank it and promptly fell asleep after resting his head on his desk.

After some minutes, he woke up and was angry with himself for why he hadn't finished with his dream before he woke up.

He dream that himself and Sophia were in the house. Sophia went to the kitchen to cook, and he was in the sitting room. Not long after, he heard the voice of a baby crying. He quickly stood up to carry the baby. Sophia was rushing to carry her baby and discovered Wilson had carried him.

She smiled and went back to the kitchen to continue her cooking. As Wilson put the baby on the couch to sleep and was about to go to the sitting room, he woke up.

He began to smile and wanted to tell his friend that in his dream, the love he had for Sophia was staring back at him. He tried her number but it was switched off. He felt bad about that and thought maybe it was a network problem.

When Sophia got to her town, everything looked different. All the roads had streetlights, the road had been tarred, and many houses had been built. She started looking around because it had been up to a year or more since she had visited her town.
