"Don't let me ever see you here again. God will not allow you into my daughter's life again. You wicked man, that was what you deserved." Mrs. Bernard shouted angrily as she pursued Joe.

Sophia ran after her and dragged her back. She could not know what she had for Joe. It was self-pity.

Mrs. Bernard told her not to give the one to the audience again because he could take advantage of her soft heart. As they were about to close in the evening, a car halted in front of Sophia's shop. Sophia saw the car and the thought of Wilson came to her mind, but she waved it off, thinking that he would have told her that he would be coming and that was also not the type of his car.

She congratulated her and was eager to share the news with her friend.She went straight to an eatery not far from Sophia's shop. She bought fried rice, grilled chicken, She got to Sophia's shop and started singing and dancing. Her friend joined her and began to dance happily, even though she didn't know why Tracy was so happy.

"Tracy, I don't need to ask how it was at work because it is already shown in your actions," Sophia's mother said as she stood up from where she was sewing.

Mum, Sophia, I've been promoted. I've got a huge salary, accommodation, and a car loan. Tracy said happily as she brought out an envelope.

She handed it to Sophia's mother. Sophia quickly joined her mother as she read the content of the letter.

Sophia screamed for joy as she was so happy for her friend.

"This is a call for celebration," Sophia announced.

She brought out what was in the nylon. Tracy dropped to the floor. She screamed for joy as she opened the fried rice.

"Foodie! "That is for mom," Tracy said as she collected it and handed it over to Sophia's mom. Sophia laid her hand on the chicken and began to eat. Tracy gave her ice cream.

Sophia was so happy, as if she was the one being promoted. She was laughing eye to eye. She continued the music and began to dance.

They were so engrossed that they didn't notice the presence of a tall, dark-skinned figure in front of them.

Tracy was the first to see the tall, hairy, dark-skinned figure in front of them. Sophia was engrossed in the dance. Immediately, Tracy guesses that he is the CEO her friend was talking about. She wanted to raise an alarm, but the man just gave her the "don't announce yet" sign and she too played along.

The man began to smile as Sophia was dancing.

Not long after, Sophia noticed that her friend was not dancing again; she was just smiling. So she quickly suspected that something was up. She looked in the direction of her eyes and saw what made Tracy stop dancing. Sophia was shocked and a bit shy, thinking Wilson had been watching her ever since.

Tracy was just laughing so hard.

Wilson! " Sophia called out his name in a whispering manner.

Tracy gave the sign of "is he the one?" and Sophia nodded in response to that.

Wilson is portrayed as greeting Mrs. Bernard before he takes his seat. Because he already knows that she is Sophia's mother due to the striking resemblance.

"My son! How are you? You are welcome. " Mrs. Bernard greeted Wilson with a broad smile.

Wilson responded by bowing his head.

Sophia was shy. She did not want it this way. She could tell that her mother was happy with Wilson by the way they were chatting happily as if they had known each other for ages.

Tracy has already dashed out to get a cold drink for Sophia's visitor.

Mrs. Bernard and Wilson began talking about his job, his family, the country's situation, and other topics not long after. Sophia was just smiling. She could not contribute. She thought that her mum was going too far by asking all those questions of someone she knew nothing about. She kept cool.

She could notice that Wilson was enjoying the conversation. He even went ahead and explained to her mother how well-cultured she is. He was about to narrate what transpired at the restaurant when Sophia gave a fake cough. He already noticed that she didn't want him to say that, so he changed the topic.

Tracy served the drinks for everybody, and Wilson was the first to finish his own. He was just smiling as she talked. He was very happy. After an hour, he stood up and said,

"I just came to say hi. That's all."

Mrs. Bernard saw her daughter's sign to see him off. Sophia quickly stood up and followed him.As they stepped out, Sophia started questioning Wilson about why he came to her shop without informing her, and he started discussing it with her mum as if they knew each other for ages.

Wilson just smiled and said, "Is it a bad thing to check on one's friend that is running away from him?"

Sophia could not respond. They went in silence till they got to where Wilson packed his car.

Thanks for the drinks, you made my day. And are we friends now? " Wilson said calmly, with a broad smile.

The smile melted away all the bitterness Sophia had for men. She could not but admire his long nose, dark hair, and nice outfit.

She was jotted out of her thoughts by his fake cough.

"Maybe," she said calmly.

Wilson moved closer to her and held her hand.
