"You are doing great, one more step. Just like that." Zyair carefully guided her as he held her left hand and waist. They were walking outside in the vestibule of the hospital. The doctor had instructed Skyla to take small walks so her muscles wouldn't become stiff. Every muscle in her body seemed to be aching.
"Never thought walking would become such a challenge," Skyla confided to her husband as they slowly meandered outside and entered the small garden located right in front of the maternity ward.
Zyair helped her sit on the green-painted wooden bench.
The wind was slowly picking up some of the stray leaves that had fallen from the oak tree above. Announcing the slow transition of summer into autumn.
"We will keep on it daily and I will be there every step of the way. You don't have to worry."
Zyair draped his arm gently around his wife and let her head rest on his broad shoulder.
