Alex blankly peered at the document on display on the screen of his laptop, as his mind made a pretty mess of the thoughts in his head.
No matter how hard he tried not to think about it, she kept making into his head. Her teary eyes and words kept seeping in his mind and he wanted them all gone.
He shouldn't be thinking about someone who had left him, abandoned him, and completely forgot about him... her child! Hell, no! He shouldn't be thinking about her at all, but she wouldn't go away from his head.
Just like Vanessa, she was crawling all over his head like a viral infection.
She came back for him? Sent cards and gifts?! Blatant lies! That was a lie and there was no doubt about it.
She had said all those because she thought him a fool. She must believe he was still the same naive kid who had a fever whenever he misses her. Or craves her cuddles and hugs whenever he felt sad.
