The hair on my skin rose and I shuddered under his touch. I immediately drew my hand back. "It looks good on you .... Katherine." He complimented and his enchanting gaze seemed to bewitch me. "Thankyou" I said, without even giving it a second thought. Immediately I wanted to take that 'thankyou' back. Thank you? Of all the things I could have said, "thankyou" was the worst. I didn't want Lucas thinking that I liked his compliment. It didn't take much thinking to realize that he was trouble, and I had enough trouble looming, no need to invite more. "And I prefer Kat." I corrected, realizing that he had called me Katherine earlier. "Why not Katherine?" His gaze looked appraising. "Cause it's boring." I answered and turned towards the chalkboard. "I think it's beautiful." His reply caught me off guard and I turned sideways, he was still staring at me intently, with those dazzling charcoal grey eyes.] * * * * * Excerpt 2, [He shifted in his seat and his eyes met mine. "I believe there's always more to everything than it meets the eye." He was inclining towards me now. "Do you not believe in witches?"  "I don't. . ." I lied. "They only exists in folklores and myths." I added to make my lie more convincing.  I noticed his lips turn into a smile but it faded away the second he looked at me.  "Are you sure?" He raised an eyebrow. "Do things out of blue not elevate your curiousity?"  "They do." I replied. In fact, everything happening lately had my curiosity skyrocketed.  "And have you ever tried to find answers to those questions? If you do find the answers. . ." He leaned in closer. "I bet you won't be disappointed." He was unnecessarily close, his husky voice went straight into my ears.  He shifted back in his seat and put his hands behind his head. There was a smirk plastered on his lips and for some reasons I had a feeling that he had challenged me to some mysterious quest.] * * * * *

Chapter 1Prologue (1)

The streets were full of crowd and blaring horns of the vehicles covering the road. The indistinct voices of people made my headache even worse and home was still miles away. I decided to take the silent alleys and turned left into a dark alley.

Less noise, less people, a better choice, I thought to myself and made my way through the alley. The alley was dark and quiet and my eyes were still adjusting to the darkness. Only thing I could see were the blur lights from the other end of the alley.

As I was walking, I got a creepy feeling as if someone was tailing me, but there was no sound of footsteps other than my own. As this creepy feeling stirred some anxious thoughts in my head, I started walking faster, hoping to reach the end soon, before my follower does something.

Once I reached the end, I turned back to see if someone was there, but there was no one. Relief swept my whole body and so did fear, because this wasn't the first time I've felt this way, it has been happening since my parents died in a car accident seven years ago.

I was 9, when my parents died. It was a car accident. We were returning home. I was a little sleepy in the backseat while my parents were in the front. And the next thing I knew, I fell on the road and the car fell off the bridge. It is still a mystery that I got out of the car at right time while my parents were still inside when the car fell off the bridge.

After their death, my custody was alloted to my mother's best friend Grace. Although Grace and I have no blood relation, she still takes care of me like a mother does. To me Grace is the closest thing to a mother. I used to think if I was forced upon Grace, but she made it clear that she wholeheartedly volunteered for my legal custody and I can never be a nuisance or burden to her. She told me that when I lost my mother and father, she lost her only best friend too and somehow she feels obligated to me.

But ever since my parents died, I have been feeling someone's presence around me as if someone's watching me, following me everywhere, lurking in the dark, in the shadows. I always feel someone's eyes on me. As a child, I used to think of the presence as my parent's spirits trying to reach out to me. But the eerie feeling I get gives rise to negative vibes. I feel scared and cold whenever I feel like someone's watching me. And this has been happening since a very long time and I was used to such sudden inconvenient terrors.

The night was growing colder and I was just a few steps away from home. My stomach grumbled and my feet were almost numb inside my shoes. The chilling breeze continuously brushed my face as I walked faster.

Finally I reached home and unlocked the door. I went inside, Grace was sitting on the couch.

"Hey!" I spoke and slid my backpack off my shoulders and set it aside on the table. I went to the kitchen and took a glass out of the shelf.

"Hey, how was your day?" Grace asked as she walked into the kitchen.

"Just a normal ordinary one, nothing new." I replied and pour water in the glass.

"Were you with Cee after school?" She asked.

"Yes, then she dropped me at the library, I had to return some books." I gulped water and washed my hands.

"Ok let's eat then." Grace set the dishes on the dining table and I slid into a chair beside her.

"Yeah, I'm so hungry."

After dinner I went to my room and took a shower. I changed into my PJs and sat on the bed. I checked my phone for any calls or messages, but I had none.

I opened my backpack and took out my textbook to take a quick reading.

After studying for 30 minutes, my eyes grew heavy and I decided to call it a day.

So I pulled the bedsheets and snuggled into my pillows when suddenly I felt something under my pillow. It felt like a piece of paper, folded into a half. I switched on my bedside lamp to see what it actually was.

It was a piece of paper, I unfolded it and it read,

'I'm watching you'

And just after I read it, the paper started burning. I threw it away in shock and jumped out of my bed. The paper burnt and turned into ashes. I was terrified and had no idea what just happened.

How did a piece of paper caught fire out of nowhere? And the most important question, how did that note came into my room? Who would have placed it? For a second, I convinced myself that whatever happened was a hallucination but the ashes on the floor proved that it was real.

Everything was real, there was a note under my pillow, which read, "I'm watching you", and then it caught fire out of nowhere. But the greater question was how did all of this happened?

"I'm watching you", the words kept reverberating in my head. I thought of all the possibilities of what it could mean, when I realised it finally.

I had always felt a presence around me, I always feel like someone's watching me and lurking somewhere around me. Does that mean it's all real, that someone's really around and watching me? Does that mean someone's trying to threaten me? But why would someone do that and who would do that?

Confused and exhausted, I fell asleep.

The Crown's Seduction

[Warning: r18+/strong mature content] He is her salvation. She, his demise. Yet, he refuses to let her go… Mineah, the youngest Princess of Ebodia, was cursed at birth to remain untainted and bring misfortune to those around her. This prophecy looms over her like a dark cloud, growing bigger every year it does not come to pass. She exists in hushed rumors as a pitiful figure - fragile, meek, unwanted. Underneath that mask is a strong and feisty vixen worthy of being a queen. And this would-be queen has set her eyes on breaking her curse, even if that means tricking the most cunning vampire ever born. Nikolai, though reclusive and enigmatic, is revered by the Kingdom of Valcrez as a wise and powerful ruler. Unbeknownst to his loyal subjects, his image of perfection is a web of lies that if exposed can send their kingdom and everything they hold dear crumbling beneath their feet. When these two find their paths crossed in a marriage alliance, the game of Crown's Seduction begins. But just who is the hunter and who is the prey? ******** Excerpt: “Why are you stripping naked in front of me?” she questioned with a frown, doing little to hide the irritation in her voice. Her goal was to capture only his heart, not his whole body! “Am I not allowed to have a bath with my wife?” he remarked with a cold tone. “I purposely asked for a big tub to just make sure that the two of us will fit in it together.” She sighed, not tearing her gaze away from him as she regained her composure. Seeing him smirk she forced herself to get comfortable as he spoke. “That’s more like it. You said it yourself that no one forced you into marrying me. Instead, you offered and volunteered yourself willingly for it, so I expect that you’ll be confident enough to share a bath with your husband,” Nikolai confidently stated. “After all, we’ll do more than this soon enough.” Shameless… Preventing herself from rolling her eyes, she managed to give him a smile as she said, “Don’t blame me if you die on me then.” **** Note: Volume 1: Main Story Status - Completed (Chapters 1 to 403) Volume 2: Side Story Status - Completed (Chapters 404 to 472) Volume 3: Side Story Status - Completed (Chapters 473 to 491) **** PS: Commissioned Book Cover owned by the Author! Hades' Cursed Luna

In a world where Lycans and werewolves are sworn enemies, Eve Valmont is a werewolf cursed by a prophecy and framed. Betrayed by her own pack and imprisoned for years, her fate takes a darker twist when she is offered to the Lycan King, Hades Stavros—a ruler feared for his ruthless conquests and deadly prowess. Bound by an ancient prophecy and haunted by the ghosts of her past, Eve is now at the mercy of the one being she should hate and fear the most—The Hand of Death himself. Hades, a king carved from blood and his own soul's decay, determined to avenge his family's slaughter and rid his people of the werewolves. He believes Eve is the key to his victory. To him, she is nothing but weapon foretold by prophecy, a tool he will wield to destroy the opposing forces threatening his pack. Yet, he finds himself craving this powerful yet broken woman. Leaving him questioning if she is truly his weapon or the one destined to unravel his carefully laid plans. *** He stalked toward me, a predator closing in on its prey, his eyes dark and unreadable. "So, you laugh?" His voice was low, dangerously soft, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I swallowed hard, suddenly aware of how difficult it had become to breathe. "Hades, I—" "But you only laugh at other men's jokes," he interrupted, his gaze piercing, devoid of any humor. "Not your husband's." The accusation in his tone was sharp, slicing through the air between us. A nervous chuckle escaped me. "You can't be serious... He’s your beta, for Goddess’ sake." In an instant, he closed the distance between us, so fast it left me breathless. His hands gripped my waist, pulling me flush against his body, the heat of him making my skin tingle. I gasped, but before I could say a word, his lips crashed onto mine, claiming my mouth with a force that sent shockwaves through me. The kiss was punishing, hungry—I couldn't breathe, couldn't think. When he finally pulled back, I was trembling, my chest heaving as I struggled to regain my breath. His eyes, dark and stormy, searched mine with a possessive intensity. "You can’t laugh at my jokes..." he whispered, his voice a dangerous rasp as his fingers trailed lower, sending a shiver down my spine, "but you’ll come with my fingers." I shivered, heat pooling low in my belly at his words, his touch. The world around us blurred, fading into nothing as his hand slipped lower, drawing a ragged gasp from my lips. The look in his eyes told me he knew exactly what he was doing to me, and there was no denying the primal connection between us in that moment. "I don’t need your laughter," he murmured against my skin, his breath hot on my neck. "I’ll have every other part of you instead." **** Dark fantasy romance Morally Grey ML Angst Suspense ENEMIES to lovers Smut (like sprinkles on your ice cream)

"You can't run away." This is what I wanna say to all the passers-by who had got recommendations of this book but they're not skipping it without opening. "I will definitely find you again." This is what the book is saying to all of those passersby. So it's all up to you to read it right now or again when all the chapters will be lock and you'll have to pay to read. Well it's not like I'm going to not tell why I'm saying all of that. I'm definitely gonna tell you so now listen carefully. This book has what you call a mind-corrupting thrill, it will definitely corrupt your mind. The book is full with suspense, there is always a mysterious vibe surrounding the leads, which makes you wonder more about the story, next there is the not-so-good-feeling background at many places which brings out the creepy scenes of movies you had seen earlier. For example a guy at night coming out at place and texting [I'm here] and then the scene where the [You can't run away] text appeared. Well these are few scenes where I felt, I shouldn't read this book at night. Now about the story performance in general, so there is stable updates with good writing quality and consistent plot, that is definitely a rarity nowadays, I have read some books where author just write fake chapters for days. But unlike those authors this author is good, there's not much grammar problem, and the author himself answers in case of queries. I mean author is genuinely good, you can ask him anything anytime and he'll reply you positively. Now before ending let me clarify few things I have not read the whole work, I have just read till the free chaps end, but I'm pretty sure I'm still underrating this work, this work really deserve some more praise and I'm not saying this because I feel really bad for breaking a promise with author or I need some help of author, I genuinely mean it. All in all the author is doing a fine job. I hope he'll send me some codes so that I can read the locked chapters too.
