"As I recall, I just asked you to buy ice cream," Elle chimed in as she opened the door for Amy and saw two packages in her best friend's hands. One, she was sure, was the ice cream she ordered. The other, she could not guess what it was.
"This is chocolate lava cake, your favorite. I made it myself," replied Amy, inviting herself into Elle's apartment and walking straight to the dining table. She put her bags on the table.
Elle followed behind Amy after making sure the door was closed. Her curiosity made her immediately approach the woman and see for herself the content of those packages. And as expected, there was a big box of ice cream in there. She then turned to open another box next to it. There was a medium-sized chocolate cake that was so tempting. Oh, chocolate. She liked it very much. "Thank you," she said with a smile tugging at her lips.
