Uncle GEE and Jenny ?

My alarm rang so loudly that I had to get up of bed and stop it.

it was 6:00 am and I had to prepare myself and get out of home at 7:00 so I could arrive to college at the right time .

today strangely I woke up happy full of positive energy .

I looked at the sleepy Kenneth next to me in bed and smiled , then I went to my bathroom , and after a quick warm shower I changed into a white cotton sweater and black trouser . I tied my curled hair up into a messy ponytail .

it was already 6:45 am , so I grabbed my back bag and went down to find grandmother preparing for breakfast and as usual she never gave up saying her speech about the importance of having breakfast and as for me I had to end it quick so I just gave her a short answer :

_ Grandmother I know . but now i'm already late and I need to go before I mess another class as I did the few last days . and I can promise you that I'll eat a yummy lunch at uncle Gee 's restaurant .

she looked at me with concerned eyes and said :

_ and who's that GEE uncle of yours ?? you didn't tell me about him .

well he is just a nice , understanding , caring old man who feeds me delicious food . I'll tell you about him later . see you .

I closed the door after me and left running to my car .

as soon as I entered class I saw Jenny sitting on top of the table waving at me with her friends with a bright smile .

I made my way to where she was smiling back at her with wondered eyes and before I could say anything she took me in her arms and hurried to say :

_ Good morning beautiful soul , how have you been ?

I was surprised by her sudden action but what confused was again the word Soul running out of her mouth , but I thought that it was okay maybe it was just a coincidence , people now days use the word kind , pure, innocent soul to describe those who looks as good people for them .

i leaned back ending the hug and said :

_ didn't you say you don't study in this class ? don't tell me you just came here to say good morning ?

_ in fact , yes and to make sure my dear friend is doing fine now after my birthday party that you went alone home .

_ Aah , I think it was rude for me to leave without telling you , but I had an emergency waiting for me at home so I had to leave in hurry . I'm sorry for not telling you Jenny .

she moved her hand on top on my shoulder and with a genuine smile she said :

_ No it's totally okay , I understand . but please under any other circumstances I want you to tell me so I won't worry about your safety or if you are under trouble or something , you know .

I smiled back at her and said :

_ Yeah , of course . how about I make it up to you and invite you to lunch with me later ? I know a great restaurant and the CHEF is a talented gentle old man .

she smiled brightly and nodded :

_ Yeah sure , I love food .

at this moment the professor of administrative law entered the class making everyone sit their places and others leave so I said real quick :

_ Great . then see you later after morning classes .

then she winked at me and left me to my class .

After I was done with my classes I found Jenny waiting at me at the door crossing her arms to her chest with her head straight and with her golden short dress and half braided ginger hair she looked stunning as a super model or a Doll . I grabbed my back bag and went to her real quick .

minutes after we were sitting at uncle Gee's restaurant chatting and eating when he came holding another sweet desert plate and smiling happily at us and then he said :

_ I see you have a new friend now and you even brought her here which means she is special .

I smiled at his words , but felt something weird in the air . the way he was staring at Jenny was like he knew her for along time and it looked the same for her . they were exchanging glances as if speaking through their eyes or head or I don't know what .

they stayed like that for minutes when they finally noticed Me sitting there .

Then Jenny smiled nervously and said :

_ haha , this old man really looks familiar to me I don't know why .

then uncle Gee said :

_ Maybe because I work right in front of your university.

then she said :

_ Yeah , maybe .

then I finally said :

_ I guess you both are gonna see each other a lot now that I'm here .

then Jenny said :

_ for sure .

then uncle Gee said holding the empty plates of food that we finished :

_ I'll be glad to serve you both little soul and her protector .

I smiled aside and gave him that weird look saying :

_ what 's this nickname you chose for her ? she's not my protector she's my friend .

_ but I don't think the way she behaves around you is less than a protector friend who wants to guaranty her friend's safety . plus it's a compliment , don't take it seriously .

then he winked at Jenny who seemed to like the compliment.

at this moment I wanted to grab the fork and take a bite from the small cakes in front of me when I felt a strong electricity in my hands wanting to go out . it felt like a strong wave unlike last time , it felt like it was out of my control and then all of a sudden the lights in the restaurant started to turn off and back on for several minutes and that's when I saw uncle Gee whispering something to Jenny and they seemed worried, then she nodded at him and in a quick move she held both my hands and kissed them both . and that's when I felt like I started to calm down and the electricity inside of me slowly disappearing .
