Victoria was itching to go home but she visited her grandma first. And it's time for her to change for the pads. She came out of the bathroom after she was done and smiled at her grandmother. She knows that she wasn't favored but they said that she looked like her grandma.
"I heard that the engagement was called off?" She said, sounding strict.
"Grandma, I don't want to stress you but, I don't want to be with anyone~~like" She tucked her grandmother into the duvet as she cut off her words.
"Well, you'll find someone better." She said. "So, cheated?" She asked again and it hurt her that her grandmother would ask such a thing. She looked down in her hand.
"I would never cheat on him. I love him and I do whatever would please him. I am tired of the charade. I wanted to show the person that I am. I wanted to show my real face, but I have to be perfect, so he could love me."
"He cheated? Then, why is your father still letting him in the family?" She scoffed.
"Don't stress it out, grandma. I'm good. And they claimed to love each other and who am I to be a barrier? I'm nothing in the family. You know that all I did was to obey you, obey mom and dad." She pressed her lips. "I want to have my happiness."
"Whatever we are doing is for your good, Victoria." Her grandmother reached her hand. "I know that I've been harsh to you."
"You were…" She pressed her lips. "But you still trust me, no matter what."
"Don't worry dear, I'll talk to your father." Lady Regina said softly.
"It's too late now. I have already left the house. I don't want to stay there. Besides, I have a job. I can feed myself."
"If you say so. You can leave now. It's already eight."
"I will. I'll call your nurse to stay with you." The old woman nodded. "Grandma, I'll bring someone for you to meet."
"You already got a boyfriend?"
She pressed her lips.
"I wasn't in love with him, but I will soon. Let's say that I use this man to cover the pain in my chest. But he's something more. I can show who I am to him and I am willing to give myself to him."
"Hmm, I don't want you to be harsh on your decision but it seemed like you already did the deed."
"No," She shook her head. "He respects me."
"Alright, you can leave me now."
She kissed her grandmother's cheek then she took her bag and left.
Once that she's on the road, she frowned at the traffic. This is why she hates the city. Full of traffic and all. She could work from home and she'll be more happy and productive. She called her husband and after a few rings, he answered.
"Hey, baby. I will get it a little later. Stuck in the traffic and I visited grandma."
"Don't worry. I will wait for you. Have a safe trip."
"Hmm, I will."
"And dinner is waiting too. Drive safely but a little rush."
She smiled.
"Thank you. I will be there. I promise."
"I'll wait for you."
It's one hour and twenty minutes drive until she reaches the house. Her husband was waiting in the garage and he smiled and opened the car door for her. He took a few documents from the backseat and her laptop. Then, he kissed her lips as he escorted her back inside.
"I had spoken to grandma and I will introduce you to her tomorrow."
"We'll talk about that when you are relaxed." He kissed her head and when they entered the foyer, her eyes widened.
"Wow."
"Well, I thought that LED lights are more convenient and it takes less power than your lampshades. Also, I arranged a little bit on the wirings and cut off a few things." He put her bag on the long side table and helped her with her high heels. He put her fluffy home shoes on. He held her hand and sanitized it.
She pouted at him feeling more love than in her entire life. He pulled her to the kitchen. The lights are dim but there are long candles in the middle. He pulled a chair for her like a real gentleman would do. Then, he served the food for her. It's all light food and she can't wait to eat. She's been starving but he left handy snacks and water in her car which she never thought would be very sweet of him.
He sat down and smiled at her.
"Darling, I have to cut off a few things. That's why I turned off the WiFi and a few things that aren't needed."
"Uh, you don't have to turn off the wifi. I have to call through the telephone, remember?"
"Hmm, well, if you say so."
"And you can use the computer. You know how to use it?" She asked as she sliced the baked fish that he cooked.
"Yes."
"I have a library, so you wouldn't get bored."
"I won't get bored. I still have to finish arranging things and I haven't done the laundry. We can do the laundry 2 times a week so we could save more electricity."
She smiled at him.
"That's thoughtful of you."
"I'm unemployed at the moment. That's why I have to be a househusband."
After dinner, he washed the dishes. He also readied her bath with scented oils. She relaxed in the bathtub in hot water. It's good to finally have her lower part feel some air after a long time of being in a closed area. The blood flows are great too. She relaxed there for thirty minutes until her husband knocked.
"Darling, are you still there?"
"Yeah, I'll be out soon."
She stood and pulled the drainer. Then, she dried herself quickly and put on her anti-leak granny-looking panty with a night sanitary pad. She brushed her teeth and washed her face. Then, she went outside and her husband was lying on the bed reading some business books. She smiled. At least he's doing something good. She went to her closet and dressed up in her pajamas that paired with him. It's quite big to her but she loves it. She climbed up on the bed to him. He kissed her. He tasted good and smelled good too. He hugged her and put away the book.
"Are you having a bad day?" He asked.
"Yeah… I was. But now, everything is fine…"
He removed the plug of her hot pads and placed it at her lower spine. He's happy that she found comfort in him.
"I will always be here for you." He said softly.
"Oh, I have a gift for you." She climbed off from him and went back to her walk-in closet where she hid her gift to him. She approached him and hid it at her back. He grinned.
"Oh, don't tell me it's something naughty." He chuckled.
"No." She gave the box to him that was still sealed. "Surprise!"
He creased his brows. He didn't expect that she would give him a smartphone.
"Don't worry. It's cheap and it's very convenient for you to have your email when you work."
"Thank you."
"Open it!" She said excitedly.
She climbed up on the bed like a little girl and sat at the edge of the bed waiting for him to open it. He removed the plastic seal and opened the box. He could say that it's the latest phone as he read the box. Eight gigabytes RAM and one hundred eight gigabytes phone storage. He turned on the phone and she helped him register his fingerprint and the password. He set the password on the date that they first met which was so clear in his head.
"I also bought your new number. You can message your friends!"
"Thank you." He put it down and pulled her into a big hug and kissed her cheeks. "I promise that I'll repay every kindness you gave to me."
"Don't be silly! You don't have to repay it. We are married."
Kenzo never thought that he'd fall in love easily. Not because of the material things but because she's kind and compassionate.
