Amya's dilemma

"What!!?" Monalisa could not help but spit the coffee she was drinking after hearing her best friend's story about what transpired between her and her boss and how the two of them are now in a relationship. It has only been three months since Amya told her that she got her dream job as the personal assistant of the president of Perrington Media Expo Company and now she is already in a relationship with the boss. It was unbelievable, totaly unbelievable.

"Eww, seriously Mona! Did you have to spit the coffee all over the table! That's disgusting", exclaimed Amya whilst wiping some of the spitted coffee from her side of the table. " Well, how did you expect me to react after hearing what you just said to me Amy! If I didn't spit the coffee it would have choked me to death due to shock because of the story you just told me! I mean seriously Amy, you are telling me that you are in a love relationship with your boss! Your boss Amy, and not some random cheesy guy who also works at the company but your boss! Wow this is serious Amy, and not to mention that the two of you barely know each other. I mean you have only been working together for like three months and now you are already lovers. This is kind of too much don't you think?", exclaimed Monalisa.

"I understand, but please don't get me wrong Mona. I know that my relationship with David is a bit rushed but I love him Mona, I really do. David is the only man that makes me feel like I am worth something and that I am more than capable of handling my own life and situations without someone else controlling me or being an obstacle in the way to achieving my dreams and passions. David has helped me overcome a lot in my life these past few months and I don't regret it at all that I fell in love with him. He is a great guy, a gentleman, a kind, strong and generous person. He also likes to spread the message of peace to the world and to me, he is like the perfect man that I ever wanted." Said Amya in an ecstatic tone.

"I understand you Amy. I know that living under your Mom's overpowering control really made you feel like you are not capable of taking control of your life and making decisions on your own. But are you really sure about this. Amy you are my best friend, we have known each other since kindergarten school, and with all this time that I had spend with you, as your best friend I can clearly tell that you are rushing. David may not be like.... you know who..but still I think you should take sometime to think it over and besides, this is David Perrington one of the world's most richest tycoon bachelor, he is not some average guy Amy, he is super rich and also not to mention he is from a powerful aristocratic family. So practically things are not going to be good for you and I am worried about you." Said Monalisa whilst holding Amya's hands.

"Don't worry about me Mona, I am going to be alright. David told me that his family is not all that bad and they don't care about all those family melancholic dramas of rejecting me because of my background status or being not good enough for David. So don't worry I am going to be fine but what I truly want right now is my best friend's support. Your support Mona will mean the world to me. So please don't worry about me but just support me," said Amya in a reassuring tone.

With a heavy sigh, Monalisa finally relented and decided to support her dear friend. "OK Amy, I will support you. But if David does some funny business or hurts you in any way I swear that I won't sparehem in any way. You are my delicate flower so if anything happens to you there will be hell to pay. I swear!" Replied Monalisa. " OK! OK! I get it. Thank you my friend. Thank you so much for agreeing to support me, " said Amya whilst enveloping Monalisa in a hug.

"You know you can count on me any time girlfriend and I will always be there for you. But... You should know.... there is still one more person you need to face. And trust me she is not going to be happy about this," said Monalisa. On hearing Monalisa mentioning about facing her mother and informing her about her relationship with David, Amya's heart dropped into her stomach and she froze.

Will her mother accept this or there going to be war?. What will she think about her because of her rushed decision?
