One hot chick!!

After receiving the call from his boss, Jimmy did the necessary in taking care of Daily Update News Desk.

A week has now gone by.Calista has always been locking herself in her room.Everything was just too difficult for her to take in.Her tears never ceased to flow at her every thought of how she had lost everything she had worked for.

One thing she could not wrap her finger around is how and why Lisa Xing would give such a crazy testimony about her.

It's a Wednesday.The weather is hot since it's summer season in Texas. Calista woke up,covered in sweats. She had been covering herself with the blanket despite the blistering heat. Her tummy grumbled loudly as a result of a whole week starvation.

Her gaze lazily moved to the wall clock that was unhurriedly ticking,as if mocking her for something she did not know.Maybe loosing her all that she had strived to achieve.

"Aauu..."a short yawn escaped Calista's lips.She threw the blanket away and staggered to the bathroom as though she was intoxicated.

She did her oral care,face care and showered.It had been a week since she did all that and she now felt fresh and abit light.

She went to the closet and picked out a dress.It was knee length and pearl white in color. It was shifon and flare. She matched the dress with a white pair of sandals then tied her hair in rough bun.She did not apply any make up but just some oil.Ready for the day.

She sighed silently as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. She looked very pale and quite sickly...she did not like what she had become within that one week.

"Better move on and find a new way to solve this mystery..."she spoke to her reflection. She had to do something and that was to be done soon.After a while or gazing at herself,she turned and left the room.

"Oh dear...you are here!"Liz exclaimed happily as she embraced Calista tightly.She had been worried to the core for Calista.Just before she walked in,Liz was sitted at the dinning room thinking about this young innocent soul.

For the one week,she locked herself in the room and never let anyone in,not even her supposed husband. Even though Maverick had a spare key to the door,she wanted to give her the space she needed. He understood what it felt like loosing what you love most.

Calista simply flashed her a smile and sat at the table.

"Am starving Lizzy..."she complained pouting her lips playfully.Liz smiled at her.She missed this innocent girl dearly.

"You really should be because you have even lost some weight...I will serve you now,"Liz teased her before going to the kitchen.

Alot of food was brought before her.

Grilled beef,some sea foods, veggies,some fruits chopped neatly and a glass of chilled passion juice.

Without any care in the world,Calista dived into her food after muttering a thank you to Liz.She did not even notice that Liz was sitting adjacent to her until she spoke.

"How are you feeling now dear?"she asked with concern. Calista swallowed the food in her mouth before speaking.

"Never been better Lizzy..."she responded with a warm smile on.

"You really look so pale and sickly though..."she stated her observation with worry in her eyes.

"Not to worry...I must be starving but I will be okay and besides,am not feeling sick,"she assured her then got to her meal.

The duo were still chatting when suddenly,the entrance door was pushed open and a beautiful lady walked inside giggling happily. Calista did not know who it was since she knew no one yet. She waited patiently as the giggling sound moved towards the dining room.

A lady,as beautiful as you can describe walked inside the room.She was quite tall,slim and sexy.She was in a bikini with a scarf wrapped around her waist but it seriously did no good in covering her little curved body.

Her skin was quite pale and her smile was charming as it portrayed a well arranged white set of teeth. She was blonde.

Behind her was Maverick. He was really close to her and his hand settled on her slim waist possessively.

She swallowed hard when her gaze fell on the hand holding the girl's waist.

Her giggling stopped but the smile remained as she looked at Calista who was still chewing some food.

"Skylar...?"she asked with a plain face.

Calista shook her head in denial. It seems she did not know her so Calista thought some introduction was needed.

"Calista..."she responded stretching her hand for a handshake but the girl acted as though she did not see the stretched hand. Maverick felt bad that Addison ignored the warm gesture from Calista. Calista's gaze moved to Maverick who was now gazing at her.

"I know who you are drama queen...Calista Serenity Ishaani.Am sure you know me well enough,huh?"she spoke coldly making Calista wonder if they had crossed path before. She ofcourse knew her as Addison Atticus.She was one of the judges at the music competition but she had never seen her before and so she did not expect such a horrible first encounter.

"I do... Addison Atticus,"she answered staring straight at her face.

Addison peered at Calista face but all she could see was courage from the girl. She did not understand why she would run from the competition as the press had unveiled.

'Is all this fake courage?'Addison mused looking at Calista.

"Fake courage.."she spoke her mind with a smirk on her beautiful face.

"I don't understand what that means..."Calista answered. This girl was now getting deep into her nerves and she hated it but she kept calm.

"I expected that dear. So you can run from the competition but be courageous enough to date two brothers at the same time?... isn't this interesting,"Addison continued her cold war attack.

A frown settled on Calista's face.What was this blonde trying to say?!

"Confused...you lure Aldo into announcing you the winner of the competition the first round and here you are with my fiancee,Aldo's brother!"Addison made it clear when she noticed the confusion on her face.

Calista looked at her and chuckled.She was even surprised when she got that courage or rudeness because chuckling at someone was rudeness to her.

The chuckle turned into a brief laughter before she could talk.

"You were a judge as well and you all agreed that I was the winner.Does that mean I lured you as well?...and as for marrying your fiancee, I was the least interested in this marriage.It costed my carrier and what I had worked hard for so you can have your fiancee for all I care,"she retorted calmly but angrily.

Maverick was stunned.So that shy girl he always saw, blushing and not facing him directly could be one hot chick!?

"Watch your mouth Calista...am sure you do not want to loose it while you are still here,"Addison threatened. She really hated this girl's guts.How dare she talk back at her,no body did that unless they were above her class and status and Calista was not.

She was fuming with rage.

"Or maybe you should watch your fiancee Ms Atticus...am sure you do not want to loose him while am here,"she used her words against her.

Calista had seen how clingy she was to Maverick as soon as they got there.Maybe she was really in love with him or maybe she was just being desperate but any of it,Calista could use it now to fight Addison.

Addison could not take it anymore,she swung forward ready to give her a hot slapn No one had expected that so the crazy hot slap landed on Calista's soft cheek. Calista held her cheek which was now stinging with pain.

Wide eyed, Calista gazed at Addison then at Maverick who was also very shocked by Addison's behavior.

Liz was out of words. She already knew how of a she-demon Addison is so that was not very knew to her. The workers in the mansion suffered greatly at the hands of Addison but none could resign since they were paid more than handsomely.

Calsita looked at Addison while still holding her cheek. She could be as courageous as she said but resolving to violence was never part of her and could never be.

She shifted her gaze to Maverick who looked angry but did nothing.She then ran upstairs.

"That should teach you never in your pathetic miserable life to talk back at me and threaten me,"she heard Addison talk as she ran upstairs while crying.

Her cheek was stinging and she felt her head spin.She was a victim of true polycoria. She had undergone pupilloplasty to help with her vision but whenever she was hit hard on the head,she felt a certain pain in her head.

She got to her room,locked the door behind her and began crying.

She did not know whether she was crying because Addison had insulted her and even hit her or because Maverick did nothing about it or maybe because she had seen Maverick all over Addison.

Maybe all the three but she was hurt most that Addison insulted her but he did nothing about it. As much as she meant nothing to him but seriously,that was too much or did she also sign for mistreatment in the marriage contract!?
