Hikigaya Hachiman

-Hito-

After dragging a red-faced Saki into their classroom, he let go of her as soon as they arrived, though he noticed that Saki was a bit disappointed that he let go of her.

He wanted to ask her why she was disappointed, but he decided not to say anything, after all, there was a high chance that she wouldn't answer that question.

Not to mention, it would put a strain on their relationship, so he can't risk it. Maybe he'd ask that in the future when both of them are truly close, but for now, he shouldn't ask such a question.

Before they went to their respective desks, they greeted their friends, which were Komi and Nishimiya.

After they did, they went to their desk and sat down. It's been two entire days since he sat down in this chair, can't say he missed it.

It's only 2 days after all, not to mention he only owned this desk for like a week, he doesn't have much of an attachment to it, unlike his friends in the class.

While waiting for the class to start, someone he doesn't recognize entered their class. It was a guy with dead fish eyes. It would have been more intimidating if he didn't experience a world-shattering situation about a week ago.

His concept of normality is quite different from a week ago, his new normal is filled with the supernatural.

For a moment, everyone's attention was on this guy, his classmates must've been thinking. 'Who is this person? Why is he here?'

Almost everyone thought that he wasn't an exception, however, Yuigahama's reaction was different, she stared at the guy in shock, then quickly replaced by guilt.

Seeing that, he thought. 'Did something happen between these two?'

He wouldn't know the answer unless he asked, which he won't until he gets a better understanding of this guy.

His first impression of this guy is that depression and loneliness are clinging to his very being.

Suddenly he blinked and thought. 'Wait…'

He suddenly activated his mystic and stared at the guy again and to his surprise, a weird-looking eye creature was clinging to his body like he was its lifeline.

'Is that a ghost?' He wasn't sure, he doesn't have enough experience with ghosts, after all the only time he encounters them is when he's hanging out with Miko and her best friend Hana.

That thing is a bit different from the ghost he encounters with Miko because the ghost doesn't really make him feel anything aside from a bit of chill on his skin.

However, this thing or whatever that is, he could literally feel depression and loneliness, not to mention his instinct is telling him that this eye creature is a threat.

Hito also noticed that the eye creature is getting bigger, it might not be noticeable but it grew in size, and at that moment he realized. 'This guy is feeding the eye creature with his depression and loneliness.'

He immediately felt the urgency to end this threat, he had a feeling that if he let this thing grow, it would start to affect reality.

No, it is already affecting reality as some of his classmates were looking at the guy with uncomfortable expressions.

Yep, he can't let this continue, or else this guy would become a loner without him realizing it.

He approached him, confusing some of his classmates, but he couldn't care less about their reaction, because inside his mind he had a problem to solve and only he could end it.

Since he can do something about it, why not act on it?

"Hey, are you looking for your desk?" He said he realized something about this person. If he remembered correctly this was the guy who didn't attend the class for an entire week. He didn't really know the reason why, but now he does, looking at the injury in his left leg.

The guy looked at him in surprise, he didn't expect him to greet him and talk to him, but regardless of his surprise, he replied. "Y-yeah.."

"Alright follow me." He followed him and arrived at the spot, and he continued. "This is the only desk that was unoccupied for an entire week, I think this is your desk."

The guy nodded and mumbled."Thanks."

He smiled at him and replied. "No problem, I'm Tadano Hitohito by the way, what's yours?"

The guy hesitated to answer for a bit before deciding. "Hikigaya Hachiman."

"Nice to meet you Hikigaya-san, hope we get along." Hito gave him his hand, expecting Hikigaya to accept it.

Hikigaya looks at his hand for a moment, before taking it. "It's nice to meet you too, Tadano-san."

After having skin contact with Hikigaya, Hito immediately poured prana into Hikigaya making the weird thing eye creature scream in pain the sound of its screaming is like thousands of pigs being slaughtered, it wasn't a pleasant sound at all, it almost made his ear bleed if it wasn't for the fact he used reinforcement to protect his eardrums.

He did not want to experience that again, then looking at Hikigaya he noticed something different from him, he was more relaxed than before and he even smiled a little.

Hikigaya doesn't seem like the type to smile but he did, maybe it's because he removed the eye creature that was clinging onto him, and he was able to smile.

But that's very unlikely to be the case, perhaps he's just happy that he helped him.

As he was about to continue, coincidentally their adviser arrived, Hiratsuka-sensei was still the same as before, still wearing that iconic white lab coat.

"Alright, sit down kids! I'm going to check your attendance…and-" Hiratsuka-sensei noticed there's a new addition to the class, she said. "Wait, who are you?"

"Hikigaya Hachiman," Hikigaya replied.

"Oh, you're that guy who got injured on the first day." Hiratsuka-sensei snapped her fingers in realization, then she didn't bother asking Hikigaya anymore as she already knew who he was already.

"Anyway, I'm going to check your attendance, when I call your name make sure you speak loudly or I won't hear it understand?!" Hiratsuka-sensei exclaimed.

"But sensei, what about Nishimiya-san?" A random male student said.

Hiratsuka-sensei glared at the poor student and said. "She's an exception, you moron! I know she's deaf, I don't need you to remind me!"

The said student couldn't help but splutter in embarrassment.

Rolling her eyes, she then started calling for our names.

"I know some of you haven't joined a club yet, so I'm reminding you to join one because this would affect your overall grade if you don't," Hiratsuka-sensei said.

Hito couldn't help but think. 'So, I have no choice but to join a club huh..? I don't really mind joining, however, the question is which one? The track team? Yeah, no I've been avoiding that one, so why would I join now?'

He started tapping on his desk thinking of a club to join in, there's a lot of clubs to choose from, however, he couldn't decide which one.

Hito preferred something that didn't take too much of his time. If a go-to home club existed then he'd join it as soon as possible but sadly it doesn't exist in this school.

The lunch alarm started ringing, and Hiratsuka-sensei stopped her lecture and said. "That's it for today's class, be sure to do your homework later."

Most of the class couldn't help but groan at the reminder of that.

He wasn't one of them, surprisingly because he's pretty confident finishing the homework for a few minutes. It wasn't that hard.

At least for him, he just realized that he could memorize and remember things better, and he knows exactly the culprit of this change, that's why he wasn't alarmed at all, he somewhat expected this to happen.

Looking at his reflection on his phone, he noticed that his eye color was changing, rather than the usual black, it was turning gold.

Heck, some strand of his hair is turning blonde!

However it wasn't as noticeable as his eyes, honestly, it's surprising that no one asked about the changes in his pupils.

He's kinda grateful for that because he doesn't know how to explain it, maybe he should think of an excuse for that.

Suddenly he snapped out of his musing as he was invited by his friends to eat lunch together, he accepted their invitation with a smile seeing that there was no reason to refuse it.

Then his eyes wander around the classroom and stop at Hikigaya, he's pretty much alone like he expected.

After all, he's new to the class and definitely isn't the charismatic type of guy, although Yuigahama was looking at Hikigaya, however, she was hesitant to approach him.

Since she's hesitant then, she won't mind if I approach him, right?

He can't just leave the guy alone, especially when he's reminded of what he's like back in middle school, alone and with no one to talk with.

Not to mention, he really wanted to befriend this guy because he's like looking at a mirror of himself.

And with that in mind, he approached Hikigaya and invited him. "Say, wanna eat lunch together with us Hikigaya-san?"

-Miko-

"W-what's happening to me?" Her eyes were now glowing.

Ever since Tadano awakened her, what he called a magic circuit, she started seeing some glimpse of the future.

She needed to find him right now and ask for a solution.

Yep, I've decided for her Mystic Eyes to be precognition, although not in the way you think, her precog would only be limited for a few seconds, for now.

Anyway, it's like Observation Haki from One Piece, she's capable of seeing the future for a few seconds.
