The Birth of a Demon Lord

Labels affect people's lives in any world. As it turns out, being a demon brings a bunch of dangers. After his reincarnation the idea of being a demon didn't really bother Azemo, instead the reality of magic and fantasy occupied his thoughts. Gaining more power or a new technique was more important than learning about the war between demons, humans and beasts. Also he was reborn with modern day villains so being a demon was the least of his worries. At first it was like he was back at school, a school filled with violence and death but he was still learning stuff. However Azemo would be forced to learn about the gravity of being a demon when he ventured from the demon stronghold. Azemo did not have any grand goals or ideas but the world has a way of forcing troubles and tribulations upon beings.

Standing in the doorway the room did not look very impressive, definitely not somewhere an emperor would sleep. The door hung off its hinges because Jesen had kicked it down when we had not received any sort of answer. The servants had confirmed that no one left the room, but beside a bunch of discarded papers, lying on the floor, the room was empty.

Azel looked around the room, seeing that the window was not even open.

"This really shows our dear king's opinion of Zaellis, but how did he get out of the room. The window is locked from the inside and the servants said he never left his room."

We did live in a magical world, but teleportation seemed like too broken of an ability so it was our last thought.

"He probably just snuck by the servants, he does have a disguise skill so the servants probably didn't recognize him."

I remembered seeing Zaellis in the form of a plain looking farmer.
