My hands flew to my chest to calm my heart that was beating fast from Liam's sudden entrance

"What? No.. nothing" I stumbled across words trying to find a suitable answer. He didn't even looked panicked but the calm was eating me up.

"Then come out? Aren't you here for something?" He was obviously pissed and I could now tell by the tick on his left brows.

I looked at my phone in question, wondering if he had overhead my conversation with his girlfriend but I didn't have it in me to ask so I got up and followed him out of the bathroom.

I was so disgusted and pissed at Nora for doing such a thing without even consulting me. I was still finding it hard to believe that she orchestrated this whole thing behind my back even when she knew how hard it was to make this decision.

This would put me in a hard place in their relationship. I didn't get along well with Jace before and now I don't even want to imagine what he thought of me now.

He was standing in the middle of the room when I entered.

"Hey Liam, I think…." But the words didn't fully leave my lips before his mouth crashed over mine in a heated kiss.

"Just keep quiet and let's do what you came here for. I don't need your explanation" He said after we broke apart.

"But I.."

"Please, do you need the money or not?" His tone was firm and I knew if I said otherwise, he would not hesitate to leave the room. I needed the money and Nora gave me a go ahead so what was I still waiting for?

"Fine" I said softly casting my eyes to the ground as shame consumed me

He drew me closer and ripped the robes off my body and claimed my mouth once again

The moment Liam pulled out from me, I turned to the other side of the bed and coiled against myself, repulsed at what I had done.

"I can't believe I just did this" I whispered to myself so he wouldn't hear me.

I could not bear to stay here any longer so I started picking my things from the floor so I could get ready and go home. It's better not stay away from him now that it's over.

"Why are you acting all innocent after betraying your best friend? Did it feel as good as you imagined? Sleeping with your best friend's boyfriend under the guise of needing money?" Liam scoffed now sitting up and looking at me with disdain as I picked my items up.

"What do you mean?" My hands froze over my gown on the sofa and I turned to look at him in shock.

"Don't act naïve now. I know everything was a plan to get me to fuck you. You are such a despicable person, trying to seduce your friend's man"

"You're mistaken. I didn't know it was going to be you here tonight. I tried to explain that before you slept with me but you wouldn't listen."

"You want me to believe that rubbish? That you didn't know I would walk through that door? Try that excuse with someone gullible not me" His gaze was hard as he stared me down.

He threw a large envelop towards me and it landed on the floor in front of me "that's the money we agreed on. Now you can leave"

I looked at the man with tears in my eyes. He was already determined that I was a slut and a betrayer and there was nothing I could do to change his mind.

"I don't ever want to see you near me or Nora ever again" He added when I bent to pick the money from the floor.

I picked the money and my things and dashed out of the door. It's all Nora's fault. She should have never arranged her boyfriend for me.

I exited the hotel and hailed a cab so I could go directly to the hospital to deposit the money.

"It's okay Evelyn. This was what you wanted" I tried to assure myself so I could stop feeling embarrassed about how low I just stooped.

At least I had the money and would never contact him again. This was the plan all along and I got what I wanted. I just had to focus on mom getting better now.

Liam's POV

As soon as the door closed behind me, I reached for my phone to call Nora and let her know how good her best friend is to her. I hated lying and betrayal more than anything and would not like Nora to associate with such a person.

"Hey babe, I'm kind of busy right now, are you okay?" She was always so busy and barely had time for me anymore.

"Your friend, Evelyn, just left my hotel room. We had sex because she needed money. I don't want you around such a person who would betray her friend"

"I know. She told me and I gave her the go ahead" If I said I wasn't surprised, I'd be the greatest liar to ever exist.

"What are you saying?"

"I arranged the meeting. Evelyn needed money so she was planning to fuck someone for it and since I haven't been around, I wanted you to be happy and not feel my absence much so I arranged it" She tried to explain and I could tell that she was nervous which she should.

"You had no right. You and your friend deceived me" I was pissed. I clenched my hands to prevent myself from punching the wall.

"I did it for you Liam. I was just being considerate"

"Of course you were. You really are very considerate of me" I said sarcastically.

"Are you mad? I'm sorry okay. I didn't know it would make you angry" and here I was thinking she knew me best.

"Let's break up. Don't contact me ever again"

"You must be joking"

"You know I don't joke with something like this" I disconnected the call and flinged the phone on the bed.
