As Lana walks away, clearly unsettled by my response, Chris steps in, sensing the tension in the room.
"Kattie, Candy, I know things are tough right now,"
He says, his voice steady and reassuring.
"But we need to stay calm. Zayn is safe where he is, and so are we. Our priority is to stick to the plan and keep things under control here."
He pauses, looking between the two of us.
"I'm heading out to handle a few things, but I'll be back soon. Just remember, we've got this. Stay calm, and rest assured that we are safe."
With that, he leaves, and Candy and I are left to process everything and prepare for whatever comes next.
We're about to review everything that has happened today. I turn to her, feeling the weight of the day's events.
"Candy, I can't believe how much has happened."
I say, my voice tinged with exhaustion. She nods, her expression equally weary.
