Chapter 44

　　Adam had just gotten off the phone when the duo walked into the living room.

　　“Wow!!!!” He found himself staring, looking from Katherine to Annie.

　　Kara arched a brow at him.

　　“If I were to be a stranger, I would have thought you guys were sisters. Wow!!”

　　Adam said, approaching both mother and daughter.

　　“I’ll take that as a compliment. But she has your beautiful eyes. Just like Calvin and Anna. I think she also looks like you.”

　　Adam nodded in approval. Now that Annie was all cleaned up, he could see more resemblance.

　　Annie didn’t know what to say so she just smiled. She wasn’t used to being the center of attention so all of these were new to her.

　　Connecting her hand to Annie’s own, Katherine spoke. “I hope you love what I cooked. I can’t wait to know your favorite food so I can make it for you.” She led Annie into the dining room.
