Chapter 18

　　Knowing that his best friend would be anxious about hearing from him, Adam decided to call him.

　　Oliver finally picked after a couple of minutes. “I gave up on you calling me today since it’s midnight over there. How’s everything? You’re just coming back from the club?”

　　“Club? No, I just woke up from a long nap.”

　　“Now that you mentioned it, I’m just realizing that it’s been a while since I've been to that place,” Adam said, referring to the club. The clubhouse was his safe haven. It became his second home overtime because he was there almost every day of the week.

　　“Should I be happy or it’s just a temporary thing?” Ollie asked from the other end.

　　“I don’t know.” Adam sighed, massaging his temple. “These past few days have been so fucking stressful. Too stressful for me to even think about getting another woman to satisfy my sexual desires.”

　　“Does Katherine have something to do with that?” Oliver asked, suspiciously.
