Fay walked dazedly into her room, and shut the door with trembling hands behind her.
She stopped in the centre of the room, and dropped to the ground.
Repeatedly, in her head, she told herself there was no need to be bothered about what she had just witnessed.
She tried to convince herself that it wasn't something to beat herself about. After all, Ace wasn't hers to keep.
But no matter how much she tried, she couldn't shake the awful feeling that spread from her limbs, to every corner of her body.
The feeling that made her regret even daring to think something could come out of her fake relationship with Ace.
