Chapter 2.

Kofo's heart beat wildly in her chest as her, Rafael, Xander and the rest of the squad were on their way towards the bank robbery in progress.

When they'd gotten to their destination, kofo did one last final check to make sure she had all her equipment. So with her gun in her hand, she followed carefully behind Rafael and Xander.

They all poured into the bank  giving orders to about five men dressed in black and holding guns to drop their weapons and get on the floor. The robbers all complied except one who seemed defiant. Kofo and Xander turned their attention and guns towards him. The man refused to back down as he aimed his gun towards Xander and prepared to shoot.

Kofo pushed Xander to the floor as the sound of the gun shot ran through out the room. The man turned on his heels heading towards the exit, determined to escape.

"I ain't going to Prison" he yelled.

Kofo turned her head towards  Rafael, an unspoken question from her to him. Rafael nodded his head at her and told her to be careful. Kofo nodded back at him and turned running after the man.

Back to the present...

Kofo continued to run after the man picking up speed. She was about to reach up and grab him when he swiftly turned, running onto the road as cars were passing by.

Kofo followed, dodging cars wondering how stupid this man was for running in between cars and how she was even more stupid for following him.

She sighed as the man dodged a limousine. She slid over the hood of the car, accidentally leaving a dent in it. Kofo lunged  and tackled the man into the sidewalk, successfully hand cuffing him. Two squad cars pulled up, Xander at the wheel. One was probably her ride back to the precinct and the other for the guy she'd chased.

Kofo smiled in victory came up to congratulate her. However her victory was short lived as a man walked up to her with an angry face. Something told Kofo, he was not coming to say thank you for catching the robber and keeping our streets safe.

"What is wrong with you?" His green eyes where livid as he yelled at her.

"Excuse me?"

"Look what you did to my limo, you've ruined it." He said pointing at the dent. Kofo knew the dent was her fault but she also felt he was overreacting.

"If you have enough money to buy a limo, i'm pretty sure you have enough to fix a small dent." Kofo straightened her back, refusing to back down.

An hour later...

"Luckily though, before the problem escalated, I was able to diffuse the situation with my smooth skills." Xander recounted the whole story to the group when they'd gotten back to the police precinct.

Kofo was deep in though all through the retelling of the story. She hadn't noticed the dent she'd left in her wake and she definitely hadn't expected him to blow up like that.  No matter how deep her thoughts seemed to be, it didn't stop her from hearing the Intercom calling her full name (they still couldn't pronounce it right) and her to the chief's office and it didn't stop her from hearing Xander's snarky reply.

"Someone's in trouble." Kofo rolled her eyes, deciding she didn't have the time or energy to deal with him.

As she opened the door to her boss's office, Kofo's eyes landed on the familiar black hair of the man she'd just argued with.

"Kofo, have a seat. I'd like you to meet Mr Liam Drake." Kofo bit her lip, would it be too much to hope that her being called to the office had nothing to do with the man sitting beside her. The one eying her with pensive green eyes. It seemed Kofo was just a magnet for trouble.
