"Why can't you come back? My heart beats only for you. Your sight alone quenches my thirst and hunger. CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-EIGHT

ROXANNE'S POV

My phone's notification alarm sounded, bringing me back to life.

No matter how much I had tried to push the thought of the money I was to give to Dera away, I couldn't. It kept pushing and circulating itself around my system until there was no space for any other thought anymore or even the smallest form of reality in me.

I clicked on the notification message on my screen to lead me to the source.

Right there, at the source area was a picture of Dera with Edward and his father. She was a bit far from them, but I could still make out their faces.

I looked at the photo in confusion "What did that have to do with me? I mean why did she even have to send it to me?" I raised my upper lip in thought.

I quickly dropped the phone, disregarding the message as useless.
