Damian approached me, his eyes fixed on mine. 'Hi, Emily. Is that Liam, our son?' he asked, his voice low and even. I nodded warily, sensing where this was going. 'Yes, that's Liam. And so what?' I replied, trying to keep my tone neutral. Damian took a step closer, his expression intense. 'We need to talk, Emily.' I crossed my arms, my guard up. 'Talk about what, exactly?' Damian's gaze drifted to Liam, then back to me. 'About our past, about Liam's future...about us.' I shook my head, firm. 'There's nothing to discuss, Damian. Stay away from my son, please.'"
