"The Chosen One?"

☆☆☆☆☆☆ Chapter 11 Start ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

As the golden light appeared, the people present were shocked, and the students, too, found themselves in disbelief as it lingered.

Moments later, Abhay stepped out of the golden radiance. Before anyone could react, he addressed his friends, speaking in a language intelligible only to them, with a request for silence and discretion.

Abhay said, "Before you bombard me with questions about my delay, please hear me out. Do not reveal your newfound abilities to anyone, and don't inquire further at the moment. I will explain everything in a secure location."

Rehan chimed in, "Abhay is right. Let's not attract more attention to ourselves."

The students exchanged looks and finally obeyed, realizing their surroundings were becoming suspicious. Some armed figures from the other world had formed a perimeter around them, ready to intervene if needed.

The inhabitants of this unfamiliar place had noticed their conversation had halted and decided to address the students. A striking young woman, with a bit of uncertainty, stepped forward and inquired, "Can you all understand our language?"

Himanshu, taking the lead, responded, "Yes, we can understand you."

The girl seemed delighted by their response and introduced herself. "Good. My name is Maya Silva, and I am the head of the 'Ivery' magic tower."

Her beauty left the students, boys and girls alike, spellbound. It was not just her extraordinary beauty that captivated them, but her ears, elegantly pointed and longer than a human's, which added to her enchanting appearance.

Maya, however, noticed their fascination with her ears and, feeling a bit self-conscious, commented, "If you're uncomfortable with this, we can involve others." She looked disappointed.

But Shrishti spoke up, breaking the silence. "We're sorry for staring. We're just a bit overwhelmed. These are new experiences for us."

Maya, recognizing their curiosity, responded, "I'm an elf. Have you never encountered an 'elf' before?"

Confusion settled over the students. Himanshu stepped forward to clarify, "We come from a world where only humans exist, so we've never seen an 'elf' or other species. Moreover, this place... it resembles a castle, something we've only seen in books or on the Internet."

Maya was overjoyed by this revelation. She was extremely curious and fired off questions: "In your world, are humans the only intelligent species? Have you never seen castles? Are books common in your world? And what is 'the Internet'? Is it some kind of network that holds all your knowledge?"

Just then, a voice interrupted, "Maya, you're making our guests uncomfortable." Maya turned to see a middle-aged couple, an elegant man in a golden robe with a red rod behind him, and a woman in a golden-red dress with a sword by her side. They had approached from the midst of the soldiers.

As the man approached, Maya respectfully lowered her head. He addressed her, "I understand your excitement, but you are making them uncomfortable. Just look at their faces."

Maya, abashed, acknowledged the truth in his words, "I'm truly sorry. My enthusiasm got the better of me."

The man spoke, "I see you are excited, but let's not overwhelm them. Look around you; we are already surrounded."

Apologies were offered by all, and the tension in the room lessened.

Introductions followed. The man introduced himself as Aarav De Rijar, the Emperor of the human empire, while the woman by his side was Meera De Rijar, the Empress.

This revelation left the students shocked and bewildered. Before they could collect their thoughts, the emperor brought up an intriguing question, "Which one of you is the hero or 'The Chosen One'?"
