She Liked This Family a Lot

Ye Qing Xin watched as the look on her grandfather's face changed.

She could see that her grandfather wished that she would tell him that she was joking. However, Ye Qing Xin continued to put on a serious look on her face.

Amnesia as the excuse was always better than telling him that his granddaughter was dead and that his granddaughter's soul was replaced by another person.

"Grandpa, are you alright?" Ye Qing Xin asked. She was mostly worried about her grandfather's health. If something happened to him, she would blame herself for it.

Ye Ting blinked a few times as if he just came to his senses.

His granddaughter's words were shocking. However, perhaps it was because she had urged him to stay calm that Ye Ting was able to control his feelings well.

"It's not that we didn't want to tell you," Ye Qing Xin continued. "But Grandpa, we are all concerned about your health. My parents did not want anything to happen to you."

"Your parents knew about this?" The frown on his face deepened.

A smile that did not reach her eyes graced her lips. "Of course, they knew. I woke up at the hospital with no memories of everyone. My parents took time to accept this news."

There was a complicated look on Ye Ting's face. He wanted to scold his son and daughter-in-law for keeping such a secret. But in the end, he understood that everyone was concerned about his health.

He did not want to believe her words, but Ye Ting could not come up with another excuse for his granddaughter's strange behavior.

Thinking about it, he now understood the reason he would feel the distance between them.

His gaze met with his granddaughter and his heart was breaking, knowing that the granddaughter he pampered the most did not remember anything.

Ye Ting grasped his granddaughter's hand tightly. "Xin Xin..." He really did not know what he should say to comfort his granddaughter.

Even though his heart was aching for her, Ye Ting felt that his granddaughter should in a hard time as well.

How can you wake up and not remember anyone?

His Xin Xin should be very frightened when she has to see all the unfamiliar faces around her, right?

"What did the doctor say?" Ye Ting asked.

"The doctor said that there is a possibility that my memories are going to return. There is also the possibility that it might not. He suggested visiting places that made me happy or meeting people that I am familiar with to help me remember."

Ye Ting only knew that there was a chance that his granddaughter might get her memory back. This was good enough for him.

"Grandpa," Her voice cracked. "Even though I might not remember you right now, each time that I look at you, there was this familiar feeling that makes me want to get close to you."

His expression softened. Ye Ting took a step forward and hugged Ye Qing Xin tightly. "Then, Xin Xin, Grandpa will spend a lot of time with you and help you to remember."

The warmth provided by her grandfather almost brought her to tears.

Ye Qing Xin realized that she liked this family a lot.

After spending a long time at the old residence, Ye Qing Xin and her family went back.

Initially, her grandfather wanted to keep her at the old residence. However, Ye Qing Xin told him that her grandmother was still unaware of her situation and she wanted to continue keeping this a secret from her grandmother.

Ye Ting finally let her go after his granddaughter assured him that she will be visiting him frequently.

The light from the street flashed on her face. Ye Qing Xin looked out the window to look at the scenery outside the car and smiled as she recalled her conversation with her grandfather earlier.

Ye Qing Xin's heart felt lighter after the conversation. At least, she wouldn't have to be too cautious around her grandfather.

The familiar scene outside the window snapped her out of her trance.

Seeing that they almost reached home, Ye Qing Xin turned to look at her little sister and broke the silence in the vehicle. "Mom, Dad, Xiao Luo, and I are going out after this."

All eyes turned to her upon hearing her words.

Ye Chun looked at his daughter through the rear mirror. "It's already late. Where are you going?"

"I want to go to the company again. There is something that I want to look at." Ye Qing Xin winked at her little sister, motioning her not to say a word.

After all, Ye Qing Luo was unaware that she planned to go out and visited the company again.

Ye Qing Luo had a lot of questions for her sister. However, seeing the look on her sister's face made her purse her lips. Ye Qing Luo did not know what her sister is planning to do. However, she was willing to do whatever it was that her sister wanted.

"Is it that important?" Ruan Xia spoke. "Why don't you go to the company next morning? What can be so important that you wanted to go over at this time?"

Ye Qing Xin lowered her gaze. "Mmm... I was thinking about my visit to the company and I thought of something, I want to go and check out if something might help me to remember."

Her family members could not hide their excitement upon hearing her words.

"Then, Mom and Dad will go with you," Ruan Xia spoke quickly.

"Mom, there's no need. It is enough that I have my little sister with me," Ye Qing Xin spoke. She looked at her parents and flashed a faint smile. "I just want to take a look. Mom, you don't have to worry too much. if there's anything, Xiao Luo will still be with me."

She had important matters to check. There was no way that she could let her parents go with her.

Ruan Xia looked at her daughter hesitantly. Seeing that her daughter was determined not to let them follow, she could only give in. "Alright then." She exchanged a glance with her husband. "Then, you should let the driver take you. It's not safe for you two to drive at night."

"Alright." Ye Qing Xin understood that her parents were still worried about her because of her accident.
