Dreams

We all have dreams. Some of them string us along with pleasure in mind for the audience. Some even managed to change the course of their dreams as they realized it was entirely fictional. If that was not enough then one could enter the space between dreams if they were brave. some dreams our predictions meanwhile, others are known to be personal fantasies. it is even believed that the variety of dreams one can have is as fickle a domain as one's own ideas. if recorded then it can serve as a message between worlds apart. "The ascension".

Charlie couldn't find a reason he had to sleep after reading such a woke topic. It excited him to think of a place he would love to go beyond his dreams and a reality. What he didn't know is that his curiosity had already crossed that bridge through his heart. He wouldn't believe it until his avatar realized itself as a formless form. It simply hovered there and he saw he saw a valley somewhere but also in his chair. "Cool!" Charlie said amd pinced himself since he thought he was dreaming. He wasn't because his cheek stung's from pinching too hard. He looked at the book's lines again and saw instead of just words he saw a picture drawn in thin lines in the shape of a heart. Deciding that he was hallucinating seeing himself hovering and being at two places at once, Charlie prepared himself to lay down and sleep it off. After hygiene and the night routine, Charlie's eyes closed and he fell asleep.

In his heart Charlie knew that the feeling of where he was dreaming was a meadow valley where he felt warm and fluffy. Strangely, that was all he felt until he saw that he had no body to speak of. "This is embarrassing." Charlie blushed mentally. "I feel naked without a body. Am I just a soul now?" After running through an array of feelings Charlie realized he was wasting precious dream time. He wouldn't be able to figure out what was going on if he didn't get dressed in a new body. Then he could just be a naked body instead of a naked soul.

Having read the introduction chapters of the code he realized that he had to combine thoughts and willpower together. He even had a feeling that he could do it so he tried to for a few hours and instead of staying a brilliant genius who'd stumbled into a new reality because he'd managed to understand a weird book, Charlie was only maintaining his body for four minutes until it became exhausting. "I don't believe this! It's like the world around me is real and I'm the dream." Charlie complained as he gusted himself along for a few seconds before realizing that he had moved without giving permission to do so.

"I don't belong here so of course this world is more real. Even if I'm dreaming then I don't get to control the dream."

Then Charlie screamed in realizing what the message meant. "It's fictional! I'm fictional! This world is fictional! I have to wake up inside the world and need to be real!" Charlie then tried to wake up his mind more and more until he reached his limits of how much information he could absorb. He felt strong now compared to the puffball he'd been before. The world around him seemed less solid than before as though there were two overlapping layers than were just thin sheets on top of each other making it solid. He decided to pull on one sheet using the power he'd used to make his practice bodies and it worked. Lucky him though that it made Charlie completely wrapped by the reality blanket. Since mostly the real work was done subconsciously not consciously it was a rapid process and it gave him the body of a warrior. Charlie acted surprised and reality made him real just he did the right trick. Next he needed clothes but as soon as he thought about it it gave him a red large sleeved cloak already dressed on him. Soon Charlie felt heavy like he had been absorbed by his half of the two layers. The other layer faded because he had basically become too solid in this world for the soul-like existence before to remain unchanged. Soon he felt like he was back into a body again like on Earth.

Because the process was so chaotic his on subconscious effort he felt tired so he took a seat in the valley and fell asleep. (A/N. 5 coins or I leave this at a cliffhanger next time. XD)

He woke up groggy as if he'd fallen asleep. Charlie looked around sleepily and rubbed his eyes. What he saw didn't make sense because it was impossible! He had two bodies! Charlie ran to the bathroom to verify that he could see his face in the mirror. Instead of seeing his own reflection he was looking through the eyes of his other self through the world in the mirror. Charlie wasn't an old man so he accepted this super quickly as both Charlie bodies moved synchronized. "I have a super power!" Charlie earth and Charlie dream said together. A new thought came through but charlie earth didn't say it and yet Charlie dream did. "Is it even a super power?" Both Charlie's felt a headache for a moment making Charlie earth lean on the sink heavy until it passed. "Don't do that!" Charlie E said angrily. "Do what?" Other Chaie replied making the splitting headache worse.

"Charlie!" He heard his mom call his name in the house. Charlie from earth rushes out of the bathroom but he ignored, "Wait don't leave-". EARTH Charlie ignored his other self for the rest of the day as he went through his school day. He did his schooling and talked to his friends like normal. It was really dull for his other half to sit in the field, watching through his visions what was happening on earth so he tried to figure it out on his own. Thinking like Charlie was confusing so he tried to make up a name and tell his earthbound half about it. He followed his gut feeling and felt like a name would pop up eventually. If the original Charlie was Charlie earth then he would be Charlie's spirit or ghost, right? He saw the wind hit the blades of grass and the seeds of grain wobble underneath the gusts. "I am Aire." He named himself cleverly. Aire was learning to adapt quickly as he kept walking in the new world trying to figure out why he had never left the dream world even when he fell asleep. From Charlie's point of view, dreams end when you wake up and are stories that exists because of excess energy harmonizing inside the body. Aire knew this because he was pretty expansively interested on the spiritual religious life or should be because he had up that strange book out interest.

While pondering his current predicament a while, Aire realized that he'd been walking and thinking independently more with Charlie's vision interfering with his thoughts. Even worse, without Charlie's attention on this world it caused Aire to lose connection to EARTH and made him feel stranded. If there was a feeling that Aire could leave then it was gone thereafter when he realized that there was a time dilation as well! How terribly scary for Aire as he pulled his pointy ears in anger at himself for being so selfish. Aire was lonely but Charlie had friends to keep him distracted which made Aire want to explore his world.

Charlie thought to himself throughout the day as he kept seeing Aire move around and even failed a test because he couldn't concentrate with all the thinking Aire did. Did he get isekiad? Did truck-kun who had barely missed him at the school bus stop fail to finish the job and a goddess took his soul anyways without permissions to a fantasy world because he was scheduled to die? Charlie ruled out Isekai even though Aire was basically in another world. He refused to believe it was a silly book- "Earth to Charlie?" He heard as his friends who were sitting in front of him at the cafeteria snapped his fingers. For a second Charlie pushed away the visions and resumed functionality. He joked with them until lunch period ended then went through the other classes the rest of the day. Aire still found no clues and Charlie needed to read the book again to explain why last nights dream world never left him. Aire should not exist but he did and ordinary Charlie was left to deal with the changes. It was in the last period that Aire pushed back at Charlie to reconnect and gave him answers to the worksheet. Aire seemed to know what to do somehow and the pair of them finished their assignment so fast the teacher gave him permission to lay his head down. Charlie understood that Aire had been scared and sifted through his other halve's memories to explore why. To Charlie it felt like the distance shook Aire enough that he would choose synchronization over independence.

The pair got through the uncomfortable day and Charlie even let Aire share turns joking with his friends on the bus ride home to comfort him. They were so identical that Charlie's friends didn't notice! When Charlie got off the bus Aire seemed to be in a better mood and began exploring his world more. It was a vast land of valleys, grass, and hills like that of eastern farmlands pictures from historic photos before roads were Normal and cut up the land into districts. It was void of people and Aire wished there had been some goddess or tutorials that gave him the power to metagame the whole plot of his universe. Such wishful thinking gave Charlie a chance to go inside his beautiful home, give his mom a hug, and hide in his room with the excuse of doing homework. As soon as he did he wanted to yank the book The Code, no 'The Ascension' from its' shelf but he changed from school clothes then sat down to do his homework at the desk. Charlie's mom even brought him tea as she normally did which made Aire desync out of loneliness because he missed her too. When the homework finished then Charlie resynced with Aire and pulled out a notebook. Charlie wrote, "Avatar." Aire was shocked so much that Charlie didn't notice when his mom looked over his shoulder to read. "Like the #$vie?" She asked him. Charlie would have glared at the invasion of privacy but he loved his mom too much to be rude. "Like a second me." Charlie told his mom. He couldn't tell her everything but his mom was smart and didn't like lazy stupid kids so she made sure they spent their time being creative. Even his sister who was bad at everything worked pretty hard to use her freedom to practice her make-up skills. It was normal for Charlie's mom to try and help him come up with ideas. "Hmm." Her lips curled in curiosity as he explained the situation. They mapped mapped out his problems into the notebook until she smelled smoke from the kitchen. Eventually, he had it all figured out and it was dinner time. Aire was impressed as he learned alpt about himself and his world because of their mom. Aire was an avatar, a sort of spiritual body, and Charlie was the root or the central processing unit. Anything one experienced the other would know with the exception that Aire's world wasn't populated with magical beings. The mom suggested that it was because not alot of people could make avatars. Charlie had to agree reluctantly but it meant that he could hide his other half and cheat by having Aire be a good help. Even through dinner, Charlie kept thinking until it was night time and bedtime. His eyes closed and this time he felt like he was unified with Aire completely even through his his dreams. It was like the paragraph said, a message across borders.

Sorry, just procrastinating Kokoro and the Fourth wall. Please read my other books to help motivate me to write new chapters.
