Alex woke up in his bed at wayside again, eyes gazing at the familiar ceiling. Before having a moment to register what happened, Alex felt a huge headache, causing him to put his hand to his forehead in pain. A female robotic voice similar to Siri resounded into his mind shortly after.

(You have died whilst unconscious and have lost a life, you are now on 2 lives)

"..."

Alex suddenly felt like jumping into the fireplace downstairs.

In rogue lineage, every character the player made would have 3 lives. The player would do his best to make sure that number wouldn't go down during his progression to Ultra Class. If the character died due to another player or by an unfortunate accident whilst in the middle of progressing, that character would be considered a "waste" of a progression and the player would purposely die another 2 times to start a new lineage. The most common way being jumping into a fire and burning oneself to death next to purposely getting killed by someone.

(Time has rewinded back to when you were lying in your bed, as a reward for completing the tutorial, you have activated a system to help you this time, to activate it, say aloud or in your mind, "Status")

After the voice stopped talking, Alex got out of his bed and checked his reflection in the mirror. He sat back onto his bed, processing the new information

' This makes things much easier compared to actual Rogue Lineage where a system didn't exist...'

Alex felt a slight tingle across his body that quickly subsided as words appeared in his mind.

(Side effects: Player is filled with uncontrollable rage and eyes turn bloodshot, vision becoming red. After 5 minutes, player collapses and is in a state of exhaustion for 30 seconds)

Return by Death: After the player dies, time is rewinded back to the last place he slept.

(Side effects: When life count reaches 0, player will be sent to purgatory, where he will start a new lineage with some pieces of his past life being inherited. )

After a quick look through, Alex didn't find anything different except from his last ability, "Return By Death".

"I also rewind time???!! WTF. Am I Subaru from Re:Zero or something?!"

This was a bit of a surprise, but still within reason as this confirmed one of his theory's that everyone in this world was originally supposed to have one life. Alex thought that it would be a problem if he was killed by someone only for them to find out he was fine the next day.

Alex took a look at the palm of his hand again, the number "2" written there in bright orange. Alex then suddenly had an idea and thought of the number "10". He felt a jingle in his pouch and sure enough, his silver he "borrowed" from the Rigan after knocking him unconscious was still there.

'Nice to know it carries over...'

( Each time you die, you keep any silver but lose every item you had, with time rewinding )

'Thanks for the memory refresh Siri..." Alex layed down on his bed, eyes facing the ceiling.

Alex suddenly felt very tired. The overload of information caused him to wanna lay down on his bed and just stare into the window. Honestly, he didn't feel like progressing at all, he just wanted to go back home, eat some pizza, and go play games with his friends online. Alex loved Rogue Lineage, but only played it so often cause he enjoyed playing it with his friends. Without them, he felt a bit lonely.

' Well at least I have Siri...' Alex thought, cheering up a bit.

'Who knows, maybe they're out there somewhere in this world, going through their own tutorial....'

"Hey Siri, do you think my friends also got transported to this world?"

(....Searching database... ding... including yourself, 10 people were transported here. According to what I'm seeing here, you should know them quite well)

Alex paused in shock as he was about to get off his bed.

"No way...were all the old members of "Cornwall" transported here????!!!"

Alex became excited.

' If this is the case, maybe this world won't be so boring after all! I could revive the group again!! '

The only problem with this was Alex had no idea where they were at the moment.

' Where could they be right now? Sentinal? Oresfall? '

Description: As the houses founder and leader, find/save the 9 lost members transported to different areas in Gaia and revive "Cornwall".

'Wait, save?? Could they possibly be in danger at the moment??!!'

Alex decided he needed to find them quickly, before any of them met some sort of danger and died. Only that Alex was incredibly weak right now as a Fresh Spawn and would most likely be killed if he tried to venture out.

Alex checked his status before noticing above his Sub Quest was a new quest.

(Main Quest: Class Progression. Choose what Basic class you want to progress....)

'Basic class? This was different...' Alex thought.

It seemed the system had a different way of saying Base, Super, and Ultra. With this in mind, Alex guessed the class after this would be his Middle Class, followed by Upper Class.

This time a blue window appeared in front of Alex's face and in it there were a list of classes Alex could progress.

Alex thought about it a little before pressing on "Mage". The blue window disappeared after the choice was locked in.

' Once a mage, always a mage...'

Alex secretly thought mages were the best in any type of game and had a bias towards them. When he was known as Alexander, The Great, he was indeed a mage class.

Alex had words appear in his mind once again.
