In the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Nick Fury and Phil Coulson exchanged a glance. The surveillance installation was indeed impressive.
They hadn't expected that Charles agency would be selling ninjutsu. However, Nick Fury spoke up, "What is ninjutsu? And what about the levels of ninjutsu? Do you have any information on that?"
Upon hearing their director's question, Coulson replied, "Ninjutsu should be the special abilities of ninjas. But as for the levels of ninjutsu, we are not aware. We haven't consulted on this aspect of intelligence before."
"We didn't even know that Charles agency could sell ninjutsu."
"After all, in our previous communications, they weren't willing to cooperate with us. When we proposed sending students for exchanges, they didn't agree."
"As for the methods of practicing chakra, they didn't mention them at all, let alone the ninjutsu that require chakra to use."
Nick Fury pondered for a moment before speaking, "Could this business be only open to ninjas?"
Upon hearing the director's words, Coulson was also taken aback. Then he thought that since both parties came from the same place, perhaps this business was indeed only aimed at ninjas.
"It just so happens that we need to go to Charles agency for intelligence consultation, to confirm Kabuto's status as a wandering ninja. At that time, we can also ask if we can purchase ninjutsu."
"This way, we can find out if this service is available to everyone or just ninjas."
Upon hearing Coulson's words, Nick Fury nodded, and the two continued to listen to their conversation.
...
Kabuto heard that ninjutsu was being sold and immediately asked, "What's the price?"
Kakashi extended two fingers and said, "The price for one D-rank ninjutsu is 200 energy blocks."
Upon hearing this price, Kabuto thought of the 100 energy blocks still in his room and felt determined. It seemed he was still 70 blocks short, which was equivalent to two months' salary.
"Okay, if I gather enough energy blocks, I will trade with Charles agency."
At this point, Kabuto seemed to think of something and asked, "What about intelligence commissions or combat mission commissions? How do you charge for those?"
Kakashi replied, "For intelligence commissions, the minimum is 50 energy blocks per question. As for combat mission commissions, it depends on the mission itself, with a minimum of 50 blocks and no upper limit."
Upon hearing Kakashi's explanation, Kabuto knew how to charge S.H.I.E.L.D.
He purchased ninja tools and ninjutsu to efficiently transfer the energy blocks he obtained from S.H.I.E.L.D. into Charles's hands.
Buying ninja tools and ninjutsu was a very good method. It not only provided a reason to harvest energy blocks from S.H.I.E.L.D. but also provided a reason to spend these energy blocks at Charles Agency.
"Thank you, Mr. Kakashi. Since there's nothing else, let's proceed with the transaction for the ninja tools."
Kakashi nodded and then left the meeting room to retrieve the ninja tools Kabuto had purchased from the storage room, thus completing the transaction.
After packing everything up, it was all stored in a storage scroll.
Kakashi held a storage scroll and returned to the meeting room.
"I've packed all your ninja tools into the storage scroll. These storage scrolls can be reused, and one costs only 10 energy blocks."
Looking at the storage scroll in Kakashi's hand, Kabuto paused before speaking, "I didn't expect Charles agency to have these for sale. This is really great. I was worried about how to fit everything into my ninja tool pouch."
Kabuto then took out another 10 energy blocks from his briefcase. With this, he had spent 49 energy blocks, leaving him with only 20.
Closing the box, Kabuto left the energy blocks he owed Kakashi on the table. He took the storage scroll from Kakashi's hand, checked its contents, and then sealed it again.
"Thank you!"
"Payment settled. Welcome back anytime!"
Kakashi watched as Kabuto left with his briefcase and storage scroll. He then took out another storage scroll from his pocket, stored the remaining 29 energy blocks from the table inside, and left the meeting room.
Kabuto left Charles agency with his belongings. Just as he walked out of the agency's gate, he saw the Cadillac he had arrived in parked across the street.
Crossing the road, Kabuto opened the car door and sat in the back seat, placing his briefcase on the adjacent seat. The storage scroll was put into his ninja tool pouch.
"To the next destination, the Sand Ninja Puppet Shop!"
Upon hearing Kabuto's instructions, the driver, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, wasted no time. He started the vehicle and headed towards Brooklyn.
As Kabuto rode to the Sand Ninja Puppet Shop, on Nick Fury's side, Coulson was busy jotting down notes in his notebook.
Ninjutsu levels, soldier pills, storage scrolls, the use of energy blocks, Kabuto's confirmation as a wandering ninja, and the search for teleportation arrays.
Coulson was speculating. Since Konoha could freely travel between the two worlds, Earth must also have teleportation arrays. After all, this thing worked both ways.
Coulson also remembered the magic array that appeared over New York earlier. He thought to himself that there had been no news from that group so far.
"Director, Kabuto said he found a teleportation array in an ancient temple."
"Perhaps this is a direction. Our S.H.I.E.L.D. can also explore Earth's ancient temples. Perhaps we will find similar teleportation arrays there."
Hearing Coulson's suggestion, Nick Fury nodded and then said after some thought, "Coulson, you make a good point."
"Teleportation Arrays work both ways. If Konoha can find an array, then there's no reason why we can't find one in our own home."
"I will arrange for some S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to investigate those ancient temples and ruins, especially those with a strong historical atmosphere. Maybe we'll find something there."
Hearing that the director already had an idea, Coulson didn't say much more. With such a large organization as S.H.I.E.L.D., they were always able to discover some special places.
Then the two continued to wait, looking forward to what different information Kabuto could obtain from the two ninja villages he would visit next.
