Chapter 26: Turn of Events

I stood on the garden as the cold breeze flew past me from time to time. I stood there and watched the air, well not the air but the intangible elementary particles that resided there. The Standard Model made by Abraham Pais and Sam Treiman in 1975 CE was known to be the most successful model for our universe but now we know there are things larger than a universe but the Standard Model still stands as one the greatest models for our world. This world is confusing as it breaks the laws of physics and mathematics by having both, tachyons and symmetry with leptons. Tachyons are faster than light as they are examples of exotic matter (matter with no mass) making artificial wormholes possible and safe for beings of any caliber to use. Wormholes in this world could be said as the waypoints you find in games or checkpoints, however, if you die there is no coming back or so some thought. Reincarnation can be achieved by the Eye of Reincarnation which my mother has. Physics has been neglected by most physicists as it doesn't really apply with our world. The mathematics could be wrong even if it is as simple as 2+2 which with no doubt equals 4 but in this world, if this appears in this world it can be wrong which defies logic itself. Magic itself doesn't entirely defy physics as it is just manipulating some particles but creating particles defies physics and so does destroying particles. Some would say science is magic however it is clearly not, without magic you cannot destroy matter without leaving a trace.

All I have to do is imagine and it will be.

I closed my eyes and imagined the pure mana dance to my time as I felt the cold breeze sway on my face.

Burn.

I felt something warm my cheeks. I opened my eyes to see a ball of fire flickering before me.

I did it. I can manipulate mana.

I was obviously dancing with joy inside but the outside of me didn't show the littlest of emotions, well I could thank my father for that.

I'll keep it a secret from the others or else havoc will start meddling with my daily life as if it's not the complete opposite of peaceful right now.

Manipulating one element without the use of producing mana makes manipulating pure mana which is found anywhere becomes easier.

I ventured on to my bedroom to congratulate myself with a large 3 tier, vanilla and chocolate cake. As I took a piece of the cake and put it in my mouth I felt all my problems disappear from my consciousness. After a few minutes I finished my cake and as I took the last piece a knock was heard.

"Knock knock!"

"Come in."

Cynthia walked into my room and saw me at my coffee table with a piece of cake on my fork which was in my hand.

"What the hell are you doing?"

I knew it was her, even without mana I could tell who people are by their figure, by the way they walk, by the noise from their footsteps and from the way they breathe. Cynthia walked about at 94m per minute and her breathing was about 14 per minute at about 11.6 decibels.

"What do you want?"

"I'm sure you already know."

"I don't."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Fine then I'll have to spell it out for you, Pandora's going back."

"I know."

"What? What do you mean?"

"She told me first."

"I thought she told me first."

"Does the others know?"

"Obviously not, knowing her she'll tell them a week before hand."

"Why'd she tell us then?"

"You already know, we are her most trusted friends, although she probably looks at you as something more."

"Cynthia, we both know it can't happen, you know what happened before."

"Before when?"

"You remember my father's training don't you?

"Oh that. Yeah I remember."

"The reason it won't happen is because-"

"Because you'll have to kill them, I know Arthur's ready told me."

"Arthur? You can't trust anything with that guy."

"No I'm sure he would've took it to his grace."

"I'm sure he would, his life is on the line already."

"You know about me don't you?"

"I never forget a thing, Arthur's lucky to have you."

"Thanks."

"Now get the f*ck out of my room."

"Geez, don't be so harsh, no wonder you don't have a girlfriend."

"That has nothing to do with it. Amanke, close the door on your way out."

"How did you know it was me?"

"Cynthia's missing right now and we have no leads."

"Aether also took your mana and ran off somewhere we don't know."

"How did you know? Did you see her?"

"I can see that you have absolutely no mana inside you and the only being I know that's capable of doing this who is alive today is Nyx, Aether and Erebus but I don't think Erebus has that much of a grudge on you and Nyx wouldn't do that because your...she bet on you that you'll win every match in the tournament without getting touched by the other opponent once."

"Seems like she is overestimating me."

"She is or she is probably not, who knows-"

"Sorry to intrude but I have a mission of some sort for both of you."

We both looked around the room for the voice but we found nothing. We whipped out heads around from right to left, left to right, down to up.

"You can't see me. I'm using telepathy to contact you two but if you want to see me that badly I can't be rude can I."

We both looked at each other in confusion.

In front of both of us a small child appeared. The child had pitch black hair and red eyes and was about half my height.

"You're-"

"Yes Levantes, I am the shadow you see."

"You've met him?"

"Who?"

"The boy right in front of us."

"Don't call me "boy" Amanke."

I watched as the boy have what seemed to look like a death stare almost staring into Amanke's soul. She looked back with speaking or even breathing and just stood in absolute fear.

"Who are you?"

"I am you're past and future."

Where did I hear that from? Probably from a novel.

"What do you mean my past and future?"

"Levantes, I thought you was a genius." The boy said, "You will be my pawn until I say so."

"Are you just going to be so straight forward with him? You're not a god.

"Quiet Amanke, you speak when I say so. No Levantes, I am not The Author if you are thinking that I am a being higher than him."

"Higher than The Archon King? What the hell are you?"

"I'm not from this world, I travel through the ocean of nonexistence, you have done this and in the future you will do this. I go to rogue worlds with no leader and either destroy them or make them my slaves."

"Why did you come here then?"

"In this era, your world is rogue, no leader to rule you so I'm here to enslave your world."

"You came now because you was afraid of Yaldabaoth."

"SILENCE BOY! Sorry Levantes, do you not know that I am beyond your ranking system. You will follow my orders."

"Make me."

"I am an omnipotent being and you have provoked me, your stupidity amuses me."

"I will not follow your orders, as you have said you are my past and future but that's not true isn't it? If it was would you really ask me? Would you have not used the skills that we have? You know about this world's history and have probably observed it for eons but, revise your plans for this world. This world will have a new Archon King but it is a troublesome role so it won't be me but one of my pawns. Be ready for that."

"I now see how I have underestimated your intelligence but I, Thanatos Almas Laurier, will not be ridiculed nor lose to an inferior being such as yourself or Amanke here."

"The day will come when you will serve me Thanatos and on that day I will completely destroy the pride that has engulfed you and on that day you will be the inferior creature."

"Interesting. I will now show you my true form. From today on, I will proceed with my plan and then I will truly torture you, Levantes and you will see me more often now."

His form changed from the child like figure to a person my age. His height was about the same as mine but he had purple hair and red eyes.

"I am from the last of the ancient Asura."

"You're from our kind." Amanke said as she watched Thanatos.

"The Asura, the ancient race who were destroyed by themselves."

"No need for a history lesson, yes, I am from the Asura and so are your Primordials."

"Thanatos, you are not the shadow I see but you know I see a shadow. You also know my past."

"How did you-"

"Your voice and body language spoke for itself, like Amanke, she tried replicating Fauna's body language. The way people walk and talk can say a lot about anyone."

"You are smart I'll give you that, how about we make a deal."

"What is the deal going to be about?"

"I will join your school and we shall compete in everything, from grades to fights to athletic ability and general abilities, if you win one I'll go away from your life but if I win one your entire past will be revealed to everyone."

"Why should I?"

"9TR6824GX1."

"How do you know that?"

"I have memorised every event of your past. I have known you since then."

"What? How?"

"I have changed my appearance a bit but I'm sure you can recognise me soon, there were about 50,000 children there so try hard Levantes."

Who was this person?

"I'll be going now."

Thanatos then disappeared leaving both me and Amanke confused.

"What was that?"

"I know him, well I knew him in the past but now I have no idea. Do you know him?"

"At first I thought he was someone I knew and I thought it was confirmed when he knew my name but after he changed his appearance I realised he knew who I thought he was and he somehow knew that."

"I won't ask you who you thought he was but we both know what will happen from now. He is not above the Arcane rank but he is probably Mid Complex Archon rank."

"Do you think you can beat him in your current state?"

"Yes and I can say with certainty that I will not lose."

"How do you plan on doing that?"

"If you have enough intelligence you can do it without magic."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"I'll be going now then, that man is not someone to play with."

"I can handle this, do not underestimate my abilities."

"I will not, I know what you are capable of so I won't be helping you."

"I will not ask for your help so sit back and watch my victory."

"I will be."

Amanke vanished from sight leaving me to my own thoughts.

Well then, it's begun, a fight worth fighting.

Suddenly someone knocked on the door. In response I walked to the door and opened it, there I found Pandora, she was standing at my door and just looked at me. She didn't say anything nor did I sense any emotion from her but what I could sense was a slight bit of devastation.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Well then can-"

She then fell onto my chest crying.

This was one of my favourite shirts.

"No need to cry." I said as I tried comforting her which I have never done in my life before so this was new to me. She didn't answer but as her tears continued to drop on my shirt.

What the hell happened?

"I'm sorry. You definitely had a harder life but i just need someone right now."

"You have two brothers."

"They don't understand me as much as you." She said as she kept hugging me.

"How about we talk about this."

"Not here."

"Where then?"

My room was then replaced with a familiar place.

"You teleported us here?"

"Yeah."

Pandora then got up from my chest rubbing her eyes and wiping the tears. I saw that her eyes were red from the crying when she looked at me.

"I wanted to come here because I'm going back today."

"Okay."

"It's good to see that you're still in your regular cold self."

"So you're going now."

"My father wants me to go back."

"You can't."

"Why?"

"You will be in great danger."

"I can protect myself."

"Fine then, don't come to me if you get kidnapped."

"Don't worry, I'm not going to get kidnapped."

"Goodbye then, for now."

"Bye Levantes!"

She said as she teleported away to the castle a few hundred meters from us. The castle was colossal. The Elf Vasilias's home.

Well she's gone now.

"Longwang."

"Yes my lord."

"Did you do what I asked?"

"Yes my lord."

"Tell Lucifer and Leviathan Plan A-1 and tell Belghegor and Beelzebub Plan A-2."

"And what of the Grand Marshalls my lord?"

"They already know. Also send me back home."

"With pleasure my leige."

As I rode on Longwang's back I watched the cosmos like a child seeing the raindrops on a car window. The stars zooming through the cosmos and the grand celestial bodies. I watched the black holes devour stars. Stars about this scale are beyond the scale of quasi stars we called these Megalo Stars. A Megalo Star has about a radius of 90×10⁶⁰ quasi stars, that's about 90×10⁷⁰km or 2.9×10¹⁶DU. Your average otheos is about 10 million Megalo Stars in radius and because of that there are new measurements for distance: Quasi Unit, Nautical Quasi Unit, Empera Unit, Nautical Empera Unit, Imperial Unit, Nautical Imperial Unit.

"Satan, Asmodeus, Mammon."

"Yes my liege." Satan said bowing to me on one knee.

"Find Cynthia."

The three demon lords disappeared from my sight and ventured on to find Cynthia while I had problems of my own.

At the House

"Laertes who is Thanatos."

"Oh him, he's my rival of some sort now."

"What?!"

"What did he come here?"

"Obviously he did and he threatened us."

"What did he say?"

"He said if we follow him he'll give Cynthia back."

"He doesn't know who Cynthia is."

"How do you know?"

"Through recent observations."

"How do you plan to fight him?"

"I have a plan, get some sleep you have a fight tomorrow and don't worry about Cynthia, my army is looking for her right now."

"Well that's reassuring."

"Exactly."

"Where's Pandora gone?"

"She's gone home, back to her castle."

"I see, for what?"

"I don't know probably something to do with her family."

"Okay then. It's gonna be the new year for humans in three days make sure she comes for the party."

"14,046CE. Time flies doesn't it. If you were normal you would've been about 13,690 years old."

"I'm not because of the cosmic center mostly."

"Yeah, anyways prepare for tomorrow."

"Yes, yes I will."

We both headed to our rooms for a good night sleep as the morning had presents for us, waiting.
