The Water Knows

Hua and his wife, however, were very enthusiastic.

They repeatedly urged them to be careful and to come back alive.

Li was very moved. He had developed a deep bond with them over the past year.

They had all…been supporting each other to survive until now!

Thinking about this, Li felt a mix of emotions.

He looked at Luo and Qin sleeping beside him.

And Ye , who was constantly fighting off sleepiness.

"Ye, hang in there. We have to have two people awake." Li said, "Just hold on a little longer. Here, have some more tea."

"I'm fine…" she said, although she yawned widely, "I…I can't fall asleep."

Li had no choice but to chat with her to help her stay focused.

"Well, let's talk. Ye, you…like Yuan, don't you?"

"Ah, yes…uh? Ah, no, no, no. I…" Ye quickly waved her hands and said, "I…I don't like Yuan…"

Ye was able to survive until now because of Yuan.

She had endured for three years.

"Yuan...," Ye 's face turned crimson at that moment, "He probably wouldn't like me. Besides, survival is the top priority right now. I…I can't even think about those things…"

Li said with a smile, "We're definitely going to survive and leave that damn apartment together…we will!"

Ye felt a little reassured when she heard Li say that.

"Luo, he's impulsive. I'm worried about him," Li looked back at Luo, who was sleeping soundly, "He's quite pitiful. After his parents died, he came to live in Shi city alone. He didn't expect to encounter something like this."

"Yeah…" Ye nodded and said, "AndQin too…he got divorced because of his wife's affair. He was depressed and wandered around alone at night, drinking and getting drunk, and then his shadow was…"

Qin had received the same blood word instruction as Ye before.

There were only three of them at that time, and one of them died, leaving only Qin and Ye alive.

So, Ye also had a strong sense of camaraderie for Qin.

  She hoped he would survive.

  The next day…finally arrived.

"So, Mr. Li and Miss Ye haven't woken up yet?" Headman Zhang came to greet them early in the morning.

Luo replied that Li and Ye were very tired and were still resting.

"It's okay," Headman Zhang suddenly looked around, making sure no one else was around, and then asked Luo in a low voice, "Mr. Luo…when is your boss coming?"

"Ah? Boss?" Luo was stunned and asked, "What boss?"

"Haha, you're still pretending. I know your boss told you to act like everything is normal. It's okay. I've already informed the villagers. They wouldn't dare disobey me. Feel free to look around the village. I have no objections."

  "I…I don't understand…"

"Yes, yes, you don't understand. You don't understand. Don't worry, I'll take good care of you while you're staying in the village. Your boss has already contacted me."

Looking at Headman Zhang's enthusiastic attitude, Luo began to realize that the headman had misunderstood something.

But it seemed that the village had let them stay because of this "boss," and he even went so far as to hit his own grandson and be so hospitable to them.

  So…let him continue to misunderstand.

  "Grandpa!"

Su suddenly ran over in a hurry, gasping for breath. "Grandpa, something terrible has happened…uncle, uncle Yan, he's disappeared!"

"Yan?" Headman Zhang immediately frowned, then said to Luo, "Mr. Luo…I'll go take care of something."

"Disappeared," for Luo, who was extremely sensitive to everything, was a word that was very easy to connect.

Li had repeatedly warned him to pay absolute attention to any "unnatural" events.

So he immediately said, "Headman, I'll…go with you to take a look!"

In front of the rushing waterfall, Axiu took off her shoes and socks and soaked her feet in the water, wiggling them.

  "Axiu…"

She turned around and saw it was her next-door neighbor, Liang , her childhood sweetheart.

Liang, who was very handsome, had always been very close to Axiu.

After Axiu's parents died, they clearly expressed their wish for Axiu to marry Liang.

However, Axiu had been putting off the marriage, using her parents' mourning period as an excuse.

After all, people in rural areas had more conservative ideas than people in cities.

But…after the incident with Li Bing, Axiu had also distanced herself from Liang.

"Today is Sister Bing's memorial day," Axiu turned her head and said, "I will go pay my respects to her. No matter how much the villagers avoid her, I will never forget this day."

"Why? Axiu, are you going to keep turning your back on me because of Li Bing? She's already dead. What more can I do?"

"I don't want to see you anymore." Axiu continued coldly, "If you come closer, I'll be rude to you!"

  Liang looked dejected.

He said, "Alright…alright…anyway, it's this day, and it's no use talking to you. But Axiu, you have to remember that I'm sincere about you!"

After Liang left, Axiu bent down and scooped up water to wash her face.

And at that moment, she saw…in the reflection of the water, not her face, but another woman's!

She slowly took her hand away.

Her own face was still reflected in the water.

"Sister Bing…" Axiu was not afraid at all.

She said, "I know. I know you hate…even if you've become like this, you're still my Sister Bing. I'm not afraid of you. I believe you would never hurt me. Go ahead and do it. Kill all those people who drove you to your death…all of them…"
