The New Project

In the workshop where the Silhouette Knights were repaired and maintained, a young man of 17 years with silver hair and blue eyes can be seen watching with amusement as a young child of 12 years of age was talking with a dwarf and the other blacksmith school students who looked as if their brains had short-circuited and were at a loss for words,

It was only a few hours ago that Ryuu was ordered to appear in front of the king for an official ceremony where he was awarded the rank of an official knight by the king for his accomplishment of killing the Behemoth while Ernesti was also summoned in secret for a meeting with the king where he expressed his wish for learning the manufacturing process of an Ether reactor, the King had, in the end, agreed to show him the secret if Ernesti manages to impress him with a new Silhouette Knight,

This leads us to the current situation,

It was after a long silence that David finally turned towards Ryuu with a tired face and asked,

"Is this why that machine you created by yourself is such a monster? because of the strand type crystal tissue thing that Ernesti is talking about?" he asked as Ryuu had a mysterious smile on his face as he said,

"It served as the base but I had long since improved on it, but for now, I won't be revealing Baratos's secrets but soon enough I will," he said as Devid had a tired face but his eyes shone with determination and excitement,

"It does not matter if you do not tell me what you did with that thing, we will be going with Ernesti's idea and try out the Strand type crystal tissue, you guys!! get in touch with the Alchemy department!!!" he shouted towards the rest of the blacksmith students as he strode off with them, preparing a Silhouette Knight to test Ernesti's theory,

Ernesti, on the other hand, was not paying attention to anyone else, his eyes were solely focused on the former Gundam frame, but unlike other times, his eyes were not filled with excitement but with an odd calmness and a trace of sadness,

"So, this is Barbatos?" he said to Ryuu without looking away from the machine that was once piloted by his brother's wife in a different lifetime,

"Yes, even though I replicated the look of the machine perfectly, it is still more of a Silhouette Knight than a Mobile Suit aside from its AHAB wave reactors," Ryuu said as Ernesti did not speak anymore,

Even though Ernesti loved robots and was a huge otaku, his family still came before his hobby and he knew better than anyone how his brother truly felt, although he appears lazy and unmotivated to most and he even lied to Ernesti saying that he had long since moved on from his previous life, the truth was that he still regretted that he was unable to save his wife, during their childhood, Ernesti had tried his best to make sure that his brother would not think much about his past life, his regrets which were really not his fault, but no matter what he did, Ryuu would always end up thinking back to his former life,

This was one of the reasons why he had forced Ryuu to teach him everything about Mobile Suits and their construction, even though he could only barely understand them because he knew that Ryuu would never be able to move on from his previous life as he did, so he decided to distract him from the sensitive topics and bring back the hidden scientist and scholar in Ryuu who was responsible for the creation of the Gundam project, for a time, it worked, however, it would seem that it won't be the same again, for he had actually created the very machine that would remind him of his loss, thus he now only had one option left, he needed to find a way to make his brother let go of his past,

"Don't go down that thought process Eru, I did not build Barbatos so that I would be able to remember my previous life, I created it as a reminder so that I don't fail again, I have come to terms with my loss but that does not mean that I don't have a goal for me to work towards" Ryuu interrupted Ernesti's thoughts with his words,

"Then what is the new goal you have found?" Ernesti asked to which Ryuu gave a mischevious smile and said,

"I don't want to tell you"

"Oh come on!!!"

"HAHAHA!!!!!!!!" the older brother laughed as the younger one gnashed his teeth in frustration,

It had been a few days since the meeting with the king and Ernesti was already on the process of modifying a Silhouette Knight with strand type crystal tissues along with another concept he had come up with called the 'Back Weapon', which was quite similar to the concept of shoulder-mounted cannons that Ryuu had worked on in his former life when he had modified Gundam Flauros with shoulder-mounted railguns and with its shape-changing module, but that was not the only thing that he had been working on, he had also come up with a way to miniaturize the Silhouette Knights into something that resembled a power armor, he named it as the 'motor beat'

But this was only the beginning of the things that would one day, revolutionize the Silhouette Knights of this world
