Nes had been taken to the Base, which meant it was not her second or third life, but her last and ninth life. Perhaps in the other eight lives, she did not even meet any angel and lived her whole life as a human.

Jin started reading the next part of the book.

Although Jin was not punished exclusively, the curse on Agnes also affected him since their souls were connected. Because of it, Jin Amaros was to live nine times as a human alongside Agnes Raothiel.

It meant it was Jin's ninth life as well. He was not taken to the Base, perhaps because the demons got him faster or perhaps because the Base had no need for him since he was never punished by the Base in the first place. It was only Nes's curse that affected him, but not a curse that was exclusively placed on him.

Seth said he saved Jin from demons. Were those demons not followers of Seth?
